Maximum's fur bristled, but it was just because she was still not used to so many dogs. Even her kennel at home had only a few, and they kept away from each other most of the time. "I"m Maximum, Max for short."

Silvie nodded. "Yes, I saw her with Balto earlier, I think they are friends." she said. "Come to think about it I saw you with Balto too didn't I, Jenna?" she asked, in a voice that reflected her gossiping nature.
Star set with Nikki and Kaltag, they weren't with Steele. "Can you believe what Steele did today?" he asked.

Kaltag stopped walking and looked towards Star. "What, you mean picking on Balto and his 'friends'?"
"Isn't that what Steele always seems to do?" Nikki piped up. It was true - it seemed like that was one of the only ways Steele could get a kick out of life - that, and flirting with Jenna.

Ken's fur bristled, eyes narrowing. He wasn't too far from Kaltag, Nikki, and Star. He pricked his ears and heard everything they were saying, but just stood up and left.
Max flicked her tail and blinked, head tipped at her new 'Friends'.

"Oh, come on, Star. He wouldn't beat you up." Kaltag tried to smile a bit, trying to find truth in the words he spoke, but realized that that was the exact reason he hung around Steele, too. "I mean... I don't... think he would." Kaltag glanced towards Nikki, who looked away slightly.

"Sure thing, now something you might not like is Dixie is in love with Steele, most females are, I mean, I find him attractive but I don't condone his behavior to Balto." said Silvie.

Max flattened her ears and closed an eye, sticking her tongue out, jerking back. "Attractive?! Please! He's terrifyingly ugly!" Maximum went back to her usual features and laughed at the small, sarcastic joke. But maybe she meant it, though...Soon she pricked her ears again in thought.
She'd never really thought of who she found and didn't find attractive. The first dog that came to her head as attractive was suprisingly Ken, then she merely made the same face again at the thought. Ken was her best friend, not boyfriend.
