Actually JC, I have to agree with DT. The use of politics has no need for this topic, so please refrain from using it.

JC is not utilizing politics to further his point. He used them as a side-note that had relevancy to the topic. He was referring to someone's speculation on how society acts in general might take a shift. Which does have relevancy to this topic.

I say to those whom are calling him out: Stop hiding behind walls, you are making his post into something it isn't. All of his points still stand. Either agree/counter them, or don't respond at all, but don't undermine his points.

Just stating something Ghost Wolf. No harm there is there? I don't see anyone hiding behind any walls here.

Here we go again. Changing my wording JC. Real mature. As for your advice... well, I'm not gonna say.

Oh I changed noooothing...lol. You really don't like being called on your subtle digs, do you?

TO EVERYONE ELSE WATCHING: Keep watch, kiddies. This is how someone gets a topic locked (and, thus, silences an opponent and hopefully gets the last word before it is locked)...by throwing it into disarray with subtle flames until a forum moderator has to step in and put a stop to it. As you can see, once again another legitimate rant topic has been derailed thanks to the typical pettiness and inanity...

Hmm... nice one JC. What next?

Aye carumba. If there were a contest for backfiring, I'd be topping Wile E. Coyote no sweat. OK, here it is on the table. I was trying to caution JC on account of people on this site (who shall remain nameless) who would take it out of context. I agree with what you said, JC, concerning the pertinence of the topic. And I agree that we ought to be maturely addressing points, rather than getting nitpicky about trivialities. I just wanted to avert problems with those who make a habit out of getting into legalese, but it seems I goofed again. Let's get back to the topic, shall we? It really doesn't matter who gets the last word unless something is changed by it.

Come on now, people. There is no need to get hostile in this level

So are the tactics of certain others...as is your chiming in just to post that.

I personally think that grudges should be worked out accordingly, instead of one group slandering the other, and destroying communications. What I said wasn't targeting anyone specifically, only their behavior. All I see is nit-picking and futile come backs, with no attempt to even re-hash anything along the lines of getting along. It's exhausting, and the expression "beating a dead horse" works on this, because that's all I'm doing in some people's eyes here. Ah well, that's why I try to be involved in that as little as possible.

Being a centerpiece of a discussion is not in my interests.

Well said Alpine, well said.

On a side note, I was just stating my opinion on this topic but I'll stick around and see where it goes and only respond when necessary. Whether what I say is helpful or 'hurtful' or not. I do what I can to advise, just as you do, my friend.
