Togo is a nice dog and so is Balto.

I definately do NOT think that they should be buried. If they're buried, all they would do is rot in the ground and eventually be forgotton. And the thought of a dog as amazing as Balto (Togo, too) just decintigrating into nothing is...ugh such a horrible thought. I want him to be preserved, and where people can see his adorable face.
And I also think he should stay in Cleveland because A) it's easier for most of his fans to see him since a lot of us live in the states (and there are no roads leading in or out of Nome), and B) it's where he lived for the rest of his life after the race, and where he spent his very last moments on earth.

I don't really think Togo did anything. I'm not starting a fight and please nobody say Togo is better than Balto or crap ops I mean stuff like that or I'm gonna respond back and be a mean Female Dog.
Balto and Togo both deserve equal respect.
Togo didn't do "nothing" he did run in the relays and actually lead a team more miles than Balto did, but Balto ran the last relay and carried the Serum into Nome. Nobody actually said Togo was better than Balto, if you don't realise what Togo did and all the other dogs in the Serum Run infact, you should't make statements like that. He ran in the Serum Run, the same as Balto, and did the same work as Balto in the bad weather conditions all of those miles to reach Nome in time, just like Balto, so why doesn't he deserve the same respect as Balto? If you think about what those dogs did, they all deserve respect. They are both heroes. Togo did a lot more than nothing and deserves as much respect as Balto, none more or none less.

He's permanent? Really? YES! That means he won't be moved to Nome before I can get the chance to see him!!!

Yea, I agree with you here. A proper buriel would be nice and some people would prefer to see his grave than his mount, but I think you are right here. People would forget about them really, where as they are inside mounted there is a whole exibition (well, for Balto anyway) and if it was a grave, it would tell you as much about the Serum Run as Balto's New York statue would. I think he is better where everyone can see him (maybe not in mint-condition) and remember him.

It's better if he's mounted. I was looking up Balto once, and it brought me to this website about a "pet cemetary" and there was a section on dogs. Balto was the only dog on that site that I had ever heard of, and coincidentally, he's the only one who has been mounted (aside from one or two other dogs). All the others were either burried or cremated, and almost no one knows who they are. I don't know if their fates had anything to do with their memory, but from where I stand, it seems like it does.
