This question was in the back of my mind Toby but are you going to become a police dog since sledding is out of the question

Toby: I've been talking to my Dad about that one, and we're definitely looking into it.

I have a question for Rex: We all know you're currently the top police dog in Nome, but are you the only police dog? I don't recall reading about any others in the serise. (Forgive me if you have already wrote about them DT, but I don't remember ever reading about them!)

Rex: There are others, although only one of them has ever been named in the stories. I think you may recall a dog named Exile, who was of great help when Toby and Luna went to track down a criminal in my stead. There may be mention of others in the future, but so far he has been the only one to play a significant role. Aside from him there is a sled team which the chief uses when he needs to go out of town for one reason or another, plus a few dogs who are used for more *ahem* paws-on work, as it were, such as when the police broke up the Northern Fights in "A Second Chance: Copper," by redwolf03.
Luna: And then of course there were the ones somebody sicked on me when I tried to help him out that one time...
Toby: Ancient history, Luna. Remember?

Luna: I'm not really sure. I was looking forward to that part, but I guess it would make the most sense to let Charlie and Connie name them. Otherwise we'd be calling them one thing and people would call them another... *sigh* I just wish I could actually have that kind of decision to make.

Violet: We kind of haven't talked much. I think she might still be kind of mad at me for trying to steal Toby.

(Haley and Phoebe exchance a look)
Haley: Well, Toby's a cute guy, but Luna saw him first. And Phoebe was the only one who ever really drooled over Pete.
Phoebe: Hmph! As if! I practically had to tie you down to keep you from going after him once you knew I'd broken up with him!
Pete: (mocking humility) Ladies, ladies, please don't fight over me.
Toby: *rolls eyes* Well, Slayer, I guess that answers your question for Pete.

Terry: On your last question, I think they're just fine. Her sisters are a little gosspy sometimes...
Luna: (skeptically) Sometimes?
Terry: I was being facetious. Anyway, I think her parents are very fine dogs, and Luna herself is the best daughter-in-law I could have asked for. Of course sometimes I used to doubt Toby would manage to find a girl at all...
Toby: Hey!

Terry: Pete is... well, he hasn't been the same since I started becoming close to Rex. I don't think he's quite gotten over what happened to his father. I still love him and I always will, but... *sighs* it's not always easy having a son who won't even talk to his stepfather.

Terra: It's going great. I got ten rats yesterday. Ten!
Toby: And this from someone who screamed over the sight of a dead rat when she was a pupy.
Terra: (glaring) If you hadn't saved my tail when I got this job, Toby, I'd use you for a practice dummy.
Luna: I think I could manage alright as a rat catcher. And Terra and I have become great friends since the tongue-wagger incident.

Violet: ...

To luna: are you very proud of being the granddaughter of nome's great hero?

To Toby: What did she look like when you imagined her looking like steele?

to Dragon Tamer: ok there's something I don't get... how is luna part Chow?

Luna: Very proud, although I try not to let it on publicly. As you know by now, I want friends who will like me because of who I am, not who my Grandpa is. But yeah, we're all really proud of him. As for your other question, I'm part Chow because my grandmother on my mom's side was mostly Chow.
Toby: How did Luna look when I pictured her like Steele? Well, sort of the way she already looks, but with black on top instead of orange.

Toby: how much older is Pete?

Toby: I'm not really sure. How old was he when I was born, Mom?
Terry: Hmm, about a year and a half old, I think. Time goes differently for dogs, you know.

*chuckle* yeah time goes a lot faster..

To Luna: do you ever still play Balto with Toby any more? I know it sounds childish!

Luna: Mm, by the point I think you're at in the series, yes. We do it less often, though. By the point we're at... Well, just keep reading and see for yourself.
