Dalton and Warbler wore the same frozen look upon their faces, then cowering behind Prince.

After a moment of eerie silence Princey bounded out of the brush, skillfully landing on his paws.

Warbler let out a squeak of fright and hid behind Prince momentarily, before popping out and growling at Princey.
"Dont DO that!" She barked.

Princey looked rough, his fur was ruffled and patches of blood clung to his fur.
"Sorry kid," he said to Warbler before turning to Prince. "You need to get out of here."
"What? Why?" Prince questioned.
"Cause you got trouble coming your way that's why." Princey replied.

Dalton let a small gasp escape his lips, and he ran over to Warbler who was still frozen at the news.
"They're still alive...they're close....there almost here..." She said, her voice coated with pain.

"I picked up the scent on the way here. Which is why i didn't clean up before runnin over," Princey said, shaking out his fur.
Jeremy and Prince rose to their paws, Prince didn't move from Dalton and Warbler's side.
"Come on. We'll go a mile or so off." Jeremy said. "I know a den around there that's empty."
"I'll stay a bit behind, but i'll follow." Princey stated.

Warbler began to shake and slowly crawled under Prince. Dalton followed, they both displayed genuine acts of fear.

"Don't worry," Prince said to the siblings. "We won't let them get you...." he paused and looked directly at them. "I. Won't let them get you."
"We're looking out for your safety." Jeremy added. "Me, Prince, Princey, even Duke'll fight for ya."

Warbler snapped out of her blank moment, and dashed over to grab Iggy.
"NO! Duke's gotta stay not-hurt too." She whimpered, climbing onto Prince's back, followed by Dalton.

"Duke's older then you two," Princey pointed out. "And he's got fighting knowledge."
"Don't worry about it," Duke said, shaking out his fur. "Back at my mom's pack i was the quickest fighter they had."
"Enough talking. Let's get moving." Prince said, letting both Warbler and Dalton ride on his back.

Warbler whined, but said nothing. Duke had walked up beside Prince and Warbler lay with her rear on Prince and her fore-paws on Duke's head.

There was a loud shrill howl from the woods. Princey paused and snarled in the direction it came from.
"They're coming. That was Jensen's call to alert me." he turned to the group. "Come on and get moving!"
Prince nodded. Prince walked on one side of the siblings and Jeremy on the other, Duke stayed behind them and Princey stayed a few yards back.

Warbler lay down with her face buried in Prince's scruff, Dalton curled into a tight ball behind his sister.
"Priiiince. I'm scared." Warbler whimpered, sniffling.

"Ain't no need to be." Prince said, licking the top of her head then picking her up and carrying her.
"We won't let anything happen to you." Jeremy said, picking up Dalton.
Duke followed them as they trekked into he woods opposite of their den.

"But daddy has a lotta friends..." Warbler whined and Dalton nodded. "Uhuh. 's true." He chimed.
