Bethany looked out the window to see Nate. Her eyes grew bright and she rushed downstairs. Bethany sprang from the house and wrapped her arms around Nate, burying her face into his shoulder.

"Ooff!" Nate grunted, but a wide grin came to his face when she grabbed him. He wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly. "God, i missed you!" He said happily, "I didn't want our night to end like it did." He said softly, refusing to let her go. Even when Marshall appeared, growling warily.

Bethany nodded, "Nate...Nick scared me. He pinned me against a tree, a-and then he stepped on my hands, and...He kept yelling at me." Bethany muttered, not able to contain her words. She looked at him with happy but scared eyes.

"What?!" Nate asked softly, but with clear outrage. "Did you tell your dad?? Why didn't you scream, i wouldve come back for you?" He wasn't thinking, he was too upset. He siighed when she looked at him and he brushed some hair from her face.

"He told me that he'd tell my dad about me and you if I told...And...I just...I couldn't..." She whimpered.

Nate was quiet, for a moment, then he sighed. "Okay, okay... It's alright now, Nicks's not here. It's just you and me." He said softly, giving her forehead a kiss.

Bethany nodded and looked at him, "He threw your necklace in the bushes. I don't know what got into him...but I got it back." She said showing the neck;ace still clutched in her hands.

He laughed sheepishly, "It's cool that you care enough about that silly little necklace, thant you'd go get it back." He smiled, pressing his forehead to hers.

"It means a lot to me.." She murmured simply.

He smiled, "And you mean alot to me." he said with a smile.

((Should Nick sneak into her room in the middle of the night, find the necklace and shirt, and be like 'WTF?!?!!?!??!" ))

Bethany smiled brightly and sighed.

(Oh! Yeah, he should sneak in, but like, find Beth and Nate XD lik Veth's parents went out and she's alone, and she's scared of like Nick so she wants Nate to stay with her lol)

He smiled and kissed her nose, Marshall barked and snarled.

Bethany heard her mother's frantic footsteps sound down the hall and she stepped away from nate, making it look like she was just politely greeting him.

"Beth dear, me and your father are going out tonight, we won't be back until late." Her mother informed, walking up to both of them and smiling at Nate. "Oh! What a surprise, Nate! I didn't know you were working today!" She greeted enthusiastically.

"How late?" Beth asked in monotone, scratching Marshall's head.

"Late enough for you to be asleep." Her mom snickered.

"Ew mom, gross!" Bethany whined, wrinkling her nose.

"Hey, I can have a little fun, can't I?" He mother teased, patting her cheek and walking to the car.

"Hi Mrs. Valentine..." Nate greeted. He listened to their conversation, tried not to laugh. Then watched as John came out.

"Good-day Nathan." He greeted then hurridly said to his daughter. "We'll be back tonight, Nick will be home soon. To watch you. Nethan, you best be off as well."

"Yes sir..." Nate said softly.

John nodded, kissed Beth's forehead, and hurried to the car.

Once they where gone Nate sighed: "I guess I gotta go." He said softly.

Bethany watched them go off, the last few words her dad said stinging like a whip, Nick will be home soon. To watch you. Just the thought of being home alone with Nick, made her skin crawl. Maybe if the incident in the woods hadn't happened, she'd be fine with it. Bethany and Nick had always been close, he was like the older brother that she'd never had. But now, she was simply afraid of the things he may do or say.

"No, stay with me...I don't want to be left alone with Nick." Bethany said worriedly.
