Cody smiled and said "It's your choice, Shay, not mine. You lead us as you see fit. Stop asking me. You need to get used to leading on your own without me helping you."

Arthur and Reece followed Shay but Cody laid on the ground with his head down.

When Arthur walked by Cody, he said "I am sorry, man. You screwed up big time didn't you."

Cody looked up at Arthur and nodded his head. He laid his head back down on the ground.

Arthur followed Shay.

Cody looked up at Shay and said "Go on without me. I will be home later tonight. I am going to go seek out someone I used to know and ask him some questions by myself about some things."

Cody said "Love you too!" He laid on the ground watching them until they get out of sight.

When they were out of sight, Cody smelled the air and smelled the person he needed to see and talk to. He sprinted right to the smell and found himself in another forest before he knew it. When he met up with his the person, Cody said "Hello, father."

The giant wolf turned it's head towards his son and said "Hello, son. What brings you here to my cave?"

Cody bared his throat to his father and said "I have some questions that I need to ask you. Will you hear them?"

Cody's father, who's name is Jackson, said "I will hear them and answer to the best of my abilities."

Cody said "Thank you, father. Okay, look, I found my mate one week ago and I mated with her. Would that mean that she is now pregnant or what?"

Jackson smiled and said "Yes. When werewolves mate the female gets pregnant immediately, no matter what. Birth control pills don't have any effect when werewolves mate."

Cody smiled and said "Thank you, father. Now if she morphs does the child morph with her or what?"

Jackson's smile disappeared when he said "The baby doesn't morph with the mother. The mother has to stay in the same form or risk killing the child."

Cody's eyes widdened with terror and said "So, my child could be dead."

Jackson's eyes had sorrow in them and said "Maybe, son. Maybe. How long has she been in another form since mating?"

Cody's eyes had sorrow and hurt in them and said "All day. Why?"

Jackson said "Just as I feared. Your child is dead then. There is no way it could have survived for that long without nutrients."

Cody lowered his head and wept. When he looked back up at his father, Cody's eyes were clouded with tears and he said "Thank you, father. I will leave now."

Jackson said "I am so sorry son. Go and let it all out."

Cody nodded and sprinted and he never looked back. When he was back in his own territory and his own forest, Cody went to a secret place of his and cried his heart out. He howled very loudly where everyone in his territory could hear him and it was filled with all of his sorrow and hurt.

Cody looked at Shay with tears in his eyes and said "You were pregnant Shay. But .... but .... but ...."

Cody sighed and said "I went to a extremely wise wolf and he told me this. Okay? I believe him more than anyone else, Shay. I truly do."
