Cain had nothing to say, and scowled at Steele. "No matter what you say, you know that you'll never change. After a while of this, you'll get tired of keeping your tongue in your cheek." he smirked "And then you'll snap. You'll go back to being who you know you are...Do you really think just respecting someone and apologizing and 'loving' your family-including some little pile of wasted fur and bones-will bring you enough redemption? That's all you're trying to do." the smirk turned into a malicious smile. "You're just trying not to get yourself in too deep to climb back out of. After that, you'll go back to who you are-a cowardly, vain, two-face, egotistical monster." he barked out a cold laugh "Don't try and be osmething you're not....I'm just like you, remember?"


OOC: Whoa...did I write that? O.O


Goldie shuddered at the mere thought of it.


Jenna nodded, trying to get the memory of the scent out of her mind.

"Keep telling yourself that." said Steele. "I won't disown you, I was wrong to do that to Fang, but you're not welcome around me till you're ready to be a better dog." he said, knowing Cain probably expected and wanted to be disowned, to prove he was right. "Goodbye Cain." he said, walking off. He accidently knocked over a trash can into the 'home' but kept going. He didn't notice a skunk crawl out and spray right up Cain's nose.

OOC: Eww! Poor Cain!

"Yeah, at least Mr. Samson brought plenty of tomato juice." said Lena, giggling. "Goldie, can you check the sled to see if he's out? Be careful."

Balto chuckled and nodded. "Those kids sure are danger prone. Or is that just natural for kids?"

OOC: Oh! Karma, we thank you!

Cain glared at his Father, before the trash can was knocked over. He yowled form the burning the spray gave his nose, and shook his head forcefully. He growled, the spray dripping off his nose.


Meike appeared next to Steele as soon as he was a good distance away. "I tried to tell you...He won't change, Steele." she said softly, and with great care of choosing her words.


Goldie nodded, and looked over the supplies, carefully and slowly moving. "Um-looks like he has two big tubs of it..." she called, gulping. She knew how unpleasant the stench of skunk spray was.


Jenna shook her head, not knowing any dog that got sprayed as much as their Grandchildren did. "I think it's just them."

The skunk got startled again and sprayed again, this time it's spray going right into Cain's eyes. Content, the skunk trotted off.

OOC: Steele tried to warn him!

"Yeah, I know." said Steele. "I just had to try...you know?" he said. "I didn't want to give up on him...Fang never gave up on me..."

"Well we have a habit of getting skunk's mad, we're just a bit danger prone when it comes to the little stinkers!" said Lena, chuckling. "And Kai has trouble with porcupines." she said, making sure her brother heard her.

"But at least its accdental." said Balto. "Though some people, and dogs, actuelly like skunk spray."

Cain backed off and scrubbed at his eyes with a paw. He tried to open them, but couldn't see very well.


OOC: But Cain wouldn't listen...He got what he deserved.



Meike nodded. "The same thing happened to me. I rejected all help from my family, and little by little...no one stood by me." she shook her head. "Cain will have to learn the hard way."


Kai blushed and gave a nasty look back at his sister. He turned his head again, very embarrassed.


Jenna shuddered, looking confused. "I can't imagine anyone liking that awful smell."

Once the skunk had gotten far enough away, it turned into Aniu. She couldn't help but chuckle. "Katie's my stepdaughter and god child after all, and she considers Fang a brother, so him and Steele are in the family." she said, seeming to no one. "So a little bit of Karma getting back won't hurt." she said, smiling and dissappearing.

OOC: You could consider Aniu breaking the fourth wall a little there or just talking to herself, thought it'd make since it was her getting him back for harrassing her family.

Steele nodded. "...If he doesn't change, will he end up like you? Someone's Spirit Guide to make up for his sins?"

Cachen licked his brother's cheek. "It's ok Kai, we're all embarressed by the skunk thing but we laugh at it anyway."

"It's a change in their sense of smell, a very small number of people or animals." said Balto. "It's rare, but I wish our family had it with all the skunkings we get..."

OOC: Good old Aniu! ^-^


Meike thought for a moment. "...Most likely." she murmured "If he gets any worse, his sprit will stay in limbo...And most likely turn into a vengeful spirit." she shrugged. "But he'll probably be in my position."


"It's not that..." Kai cringed at the memories. "It's the porcupines...Ugh, nasty creatures..."


Jenna nodded, smirking lightly. "Yes, that'd go very well with our family's antics."
