"Julius, you should probably stay behind Delilah, so that nothing happens to her. I'm sure you'd rather take a fall then have her. I'll lead up front."

"Forward. We'll have to cross water, so that our scent is lost."

"Let's go." Russet started forward, slowly, and waited for Julius and Delilah to catch up.

Russet started forward, a bit faster and sniffed the ground, searching for any scents. He found none, so continued for a while until he was at a small creek. "Be careful while crossing, it's rather cold." Russet yelped a bit at the cold water around his paws, but made his way across. He turned to face Julius and Delilah and waited for them to cross."

Russet continued forward, his face hard. He continued walking for a while and found a big, empty den that could easily fit them all. "Alright, we'll stop for now. Julius, mind staying here with Delilah while I go get us something to eat?"

Russet smiled, seeming to get on Julius' good side for once. He walked up to Delilah and licked her nose. "I'll be back in a bit." he whispered. He turned and headed into the mist, not looking back.

Russet came back with a few rabbits in his mouth. He dropped the biggest one in front of Delilah, so that she would have the most energy. He dropped the next biggest one in front of Julius and stalked off a bit to eat his. He crunched the bones carefully between his canines, and licked his lips clean soon enough. He came back to Delilah and Julius and lay down on the other side of Delilah.

"Are you alright?" he asked Delilah.

Russet nuzzled Delilah. "I'm sorry it had to be like this."
