"His necklace, he gave it to me.." She squeaked, feeling herself tremble horribly,

Nick grabbed the necklace and ripped it from her neck, easily breaking it off her neck, he turned and tossed it into the bushes(she can find it if you want her to), then he grabbed her arm and slung her to the sand. "You get back to your room!! Change your shirt, and forget about Nathan Smith, as long as I'm here you won't see him again! He then steppes on one of her hands. "And if you say anything to your father, I'll tell him all I know!" he snarled.

Bethany yelped and whimpered, yanking her hand away from Nick's heavy foot. She stripped off Nate's shirt and wrestled into her soaking wet one. Shivers danced up her spine and she sniffled, "I-I'm sorry Nick.." She muttered, rubbing her hand.

(yes, and that's why he's so mad! He be jealous cuz Bethany likes Nate! >:3)

"Just go to your room!" he snarled darkly.

In the bushes, the light flickered of Nate's necklace, but Nick didnt notice.

Bethany nodded obediently and walked quickly back to the house, planning to go back later that night and retrieve her necklace.

Nick stormed back to the barn, not following the girl, his rage was too much.

Once safe in her room, Bethany sank down into her bathtub, now noticing the purple and blue bruises that now pained her back from when Nick had shoved her against the tree. She touched the marks gingerly, only to see her mom come in. Bethany's mom, Josie, looked at the bruises in shock.

"Beth, honey, what happened?" She asked, setting down the towels meant for her and rushing to Beth's aid. Bethany turned a shade of red, not wanting Nick to tell her father about Nate.

"When Grand Design threw me the other day, I kind of got banged up." She lied smoothly.

"Oh, you poor dear!" Her mother fretted.

The door squeaked as it opened, but no one came in. No human at least, the family's dog, a young Toller (http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/images16/NovaScotiaDuckTollingRetrieverHolly10Months3.JPG) He was her Father's valued hunting dog, but he favored Beth. The young canine's name was Marshall Lee, Beth had various nicknames for him, and he loved Beth dearly. He whimpered from where he stood at the door.

Bethany called the pup over, "Come'er Lee boy!" Bethany said, hanging her hand out of the bath tube and reaching for the dog.

((Yes!! Lol I'm actually watching that episode... And sooo I needed a name for the dog XD))

Marshall barked softly and happily rushed over to her hand, gently licking her hand with his soft pink tounge. Any other time, he would've tried to get in the tub, or steal the towel. But he could tell something was wrong with her.

Bethany noticed the red liquid running down her hand after Marshall had licked her. She looked at her hand and frowned, hiding it from her mother, who was busy chattering about something unimportant. She gave Marshall's head a nice scratch and finally got out of the tub. Bethany dried off and got dressed in her pajamas. She then lay on her bed, Marshall laying next to her, stroking the soft fur between his ears.

Marshall laid their, looking at his owner thoughtfully. Even after her bath, the dog could tell she didn't smell like... well Beth. No, she smelled of lake water and cologne. Only a dog could tell that though. The canine also noticed the strange, barely noticeable, imprint around her neck. He whined and pawed at her neck softly, then tilted his head, wondering what had happened.

Bethany touched her neck, there was an imprint from when Nick had ripped her necklace off. She sat up, remembering the necklace. Bethany frowned and got off of her bed, "Come on Marshall, we gotta' get that necklace." And with that, she and the dog ventured outside.

They trailed down to the lakeside, Marshall instantly went to play in the water but he soon found Nate's shirt. He curiously picked it up in his jaws and galloped back to Beth, the shirt in his mouth.

Beth grabbed the shirt and held it close to her chest, "Good boy, now find the necklace. Okay? Necklace." She said, pointing over to where Nick had thrown the precious item.
