Tomy looked up and licked him. her breathing had came back."I thought-thought you left me Ace!" SHe wailed, tears flowing "YOu were gone for so long...IT scared me!I-I thought I had done something wrong.." SHe admitted.

Tomy nodded helplessly in his large paws, she was so delicate to him, but she was just as strong as he."I was...scared.I've never been scared in my whole life Ace....BUt thankyou for coming back." SHe licked his cheek and smiled impishly, looking up at him.She heard Hiro, then Kodans howl, she jumped slightly in startlment, the soun dof howling was so distinct in her memories of her and Charlie on the strees, before she found the Haven.

Yuuhiro flinched for a second. Kodan's howl sounded so much like her father's, the night that her mother died.

She brushed the memory away howled back at him into the night. Kodan's was low and strong, and Yuuhiro's was higher, but still just as piercing.


Ace gently pushed Tomoyo back into his arms. "You should rest a bit more; just in case, ya know?"

Tomy nodded, her neon green dipped ears were still up and alert as she slept.She kicked slightly once in her sleep "Ace...I-I love you...you know that right?I mean..I would never do anything to hurt you.." She whispered in her sleep.

Next Morning...


Tomoyo awoke, she thought it had all been a dream and she was still on the cold road with Charlie, alone.No Ace.But as she openedher eyes she saw his giant paw in her face, she licked it and giggled.Even though he was growing into his paws they were still huge to her.She sat and watched the sun come up, the dust bits danced in the sun light gracfully.As the sun finished it's trip she slipped from underneath Ace and kissed his cheek.She walked downstairs and got breakfast."Hey Tomy..." Saya greeted uncomfortably, not making eyes contact."Umm...Hi?Whats eatin' you?" She asked her "Well...I saw you and Ace last night..did you two..?" Tomy giggled "No!Heck no!" She stopped giggling "I'm not that kinda girl Saya, unlike most females I can wait for pups..trust me!" SHe siad, still recovering from her fit of laughter.

Ace woke when Tomoyo licked his paw. He trotted downstairs a few minutes after her, and rested his head on her shoulder. "Love you..." He murmured, licking the soft fur on her flank.

Alaska twirled around like a butterfly, her nose met his and she smiled "I love you too Ace." She whispered.Saya blushed, it didn't feel right to be watching them like this.BUt it was rude to walk off "I'm gonna fetch dinner, what do you want?" She asked "Ooh!I want Strawberries!" Alaska smiled as Saya nodded and went to the market to steal some more food that they probaly didn't even need in the first place.
