Kodan smiled slightly when she nuzzled him. "I just wanted to see you, I know I'm putting my life at risk by coming back here, but it's worth it just to see you." He replied, still smiling.

"Really?" Yuuhiro was caught in a trance staring into his eyes. She quickly shook her head and snapped out of it. "K-kodan... I have something to tell you..."

"W-what is it?" Asked Kodan, he almost jumped when he heard a voice behind him.

"I figured you'd be back," said Butch, standing in the doorway. "Son..you know what Cooper said, leave before you force me to do something I do not wish to do." Butch growled in a half pleading, half threatening kind of way.

"Ok, dad..Yuuhiro has something to tell me, after I hear it..I'll leave.." Replied Kodan.

"Very well son.." Muttered Butch before walking back to his room.

Kodan was shocked beyond words, he smiled then said. "I love you too, I always have, ever since you came to the haven.." Said Kodan, blushing slightly underneath his goldish-brown and black fur.

Yuuhiro smiled and buried her head in Kodan's fur. She lifted it quickly when she heard claws clacking on the wood in the hallway, coming closer. "Kodan! They're coming for you!" She realised that he would probably try to sneak out from her window again. "But don't leave!" She added quickly. "Hide under the bed! I'll cover for you!" The door creaked open a tiny bit. "Hurry!"

Cooper growled realising that Kodan was probably in the building. He trotted slowly down the hall, it didn't matter how fast he went. The door creaked open a bit and he sucked in his breath, getting ready to punish one of his favorite pups.

Kodan quickly hid under the bed and stayed silent, he held his breath and waited.

Cooper shoved the door open, a growl rising in his throat. "Kodan, you have 5 sec--" He stopped short when he saw the pup wasn't there. "Yuuhiro, was Kodan here?" Cooper could smell him, but he was making sure Yuuhiro trusted him.
"W-well..." She looked away.
"Tell the truth."
She sighed. "He was here."
"Where is he now?"
"H-he left. I told him to leave before you showed up and got rid of him yourself."
Cooper's eyes narrowed. "Alright, I believe you." He said, heading back to his room.

Yuuhiro sat with a plop on the floor. She had never lied; ever. "K-kodan? What's that feeling you get when you know you've done something wrong?"

"Uh, disappointed, sad, guilty--I've got plenty more, hehe...I always used to get introuble when I was a young pup." Replied Kodan, getting out from underneath the bed.

"I think it's guilt..." Yuuhiro sighed. A tear ran down her cheek when she realized Kodan really did have to leave. "Kodan don't leave!" She cried, burying her head in his fur. She drank in his scent, wishing she could always smell it. She sobbed into his fur, soaking it in her hot tears.
