Kirby woke up from his sleep. "Huh? Patch? Was that you?" He asked looking around the silent den. He looked around for Patch. "Raven! Patch has wandered off again!" Shouted Kirby.
Patch wandered through Nome, most people keeping clear of him and murmering things like. "Ugh, it`s a wolf"
and "Stay clear of him, he might bite". A little boy walked over to Patch, he was about three years old. "Cute puppy." Said the little boy and was almost about to pet Patch when his mother and father came and took him away. The father chucked a pebble at Patch and it hit him in the nose. Patch yelped. The father of the child whispered to his wife. "Honey, he almost bit our baby." Patch growled and walked away. He saw a team of sled dogs heading out, and suddenly felt an urge to run. "I wonder if I can run like they can?" He said. Patch ran off, his legs pumping, he was running quite fast for his age. Patch was enjoying running when he bumped into a large brown and tan wolf/dog, Balto, but Patch didn`t know who Balto was and started to back away slowly.

Balto felt a bump on his leg and saw the pup backing away, " It's ok little one. I'm your grandfather Patch. I'm Balto." He smiled, " You should be getting back home now." He picked the small pup up and put him in his mothers den, " Raven, Patch was wondering out side again. Keep an eye on this pup. He can get into some trouble some day." He winked and ran back to the boat.

Snowy was walking through Nome also, and heard the name calling and stepped out in front of her son snarling telling them to back off because they were both, wolves.
