Zasshu and his son Zach then jumped in and forced Cheyanne and the other wolf apart. While Zach held Cheyanne back, Zasshu pinned the strange wolf and snarled in its face.

"ANSWER ME when I'm SPEAKING to you!" Zasshu snapped, baring his numerous sharp fangs. "I SAID -- WHO are you and WHAT are you DOING here?!!!"

Cheyanne pushed Zach out of the way while the other wolf pushed Zasshu. "How dare you push me away, Zasshu." Cheyanne snarled as she and the wolf continued their fight on hind legs various times.

Zasshu joined in and fought the wolf alongside Cheyanne.

Cheyanne quickly pushed him out of the way. And continued fighting the wolf.

The fight got worse. Cheyanne's whiteish grey fur was turning, red. From the blood..

Zach pounced on the wolf that Cheyanne was still fighting, quite frankly beginning to get pissed off now that blood had been drawn from his own mother. Zach then started biting and tearing at the flesh of the wolf's scruff.

Cheyanne pushed Zach off and snarled at him. "Back off." spit foaming from her mouth lightly. She watched as the wolf pounced on her once more. Cheyanne made a blood curdling snarl and tore at his throat.

"Jeez, I was just tryin' to help" Zach said, going back over to Zasshu. "What's mom's problem, dad?" Zach asked.

Zasshu didn't answer his son. He just stood there at a loss of what to do to help the situation. Cheyanne didn't seem to want any help, seeing as when either he or Zach tried to they were just pushed away.

The pack heard a yelp and hoped the best. That Cheyanne had won. Sadly, before Cheyanne hit the ground, still bleeding, the other wolf hit the ground as well. But running away..

"MOM!" Zach cried out, running to Cheyanne's side, as Zasshu angrily went after the wolf.

Cheyanne layed there.. She didn't move a muscle. Laying there, the grass and Zach's paws stained red from her blood. The other wolf, lost Zasshu and raced around the den, then taking down Zach easily. Zach fought and killed the wolf for his mother's sake. Zach turned and faced his mother once more, and his heart sank. Where is my father? He asked himself. He howled as Zasshu peered around at his son. He quickly ran over and joined his son. The pack soon did the same. Their alpha female was........... Dead. "Mom..." Zach cried as Cheyanne's last words were, "Zach..." Zach shot his head down and looked at his mother, his siblings looking all around him. "I'm p- pr- proud to say you'- you'll be the n-new alpha m- mal-" Cheyanne's eyes rolled back as her body seemed to sink down. Her head slowly moved back a little.

Zasshu laid on top of his mate's limp body, laying his head atop her own and cried softly for his fallen love.

"I love you, Cheyanne..." Zasshu whispered, sadly. "Please, Chey... please don't die, not now after all we've been through... Our kids need you, you're their mother... I cant take care of all 11 kids all by myself... and some of them are still so young..." Zasshu sniffled softly. "Please, Chey, please don't go... They need you... I need you... I can't imagine life without you, I love you so much..."

Zach sniffled and hung his head down as he began to cry softly. What Zach wanted more than anything was for his mother to see him become the next Alpha, and to show her how great a leader he could really be. And he wanted her to see him get a mate of his own, and he wanted her to witness the birth of his very own pups, and for her to be a proud grandmother.

As Zach cried softly to himself, his brother Carlos and two sisters Aspen and Carla all huddled compassionately around Zach to comfort him.

A few months after her death, Zach founded in Ghost, making her his mate. Then, Zasshu came into the den, gazing at the two.
