Colton looked at the stars and thought about the past, and thought about the future. He thought about the hyena attack when he was a cub, and he thought about getting rejected by the other lions at times. Colton was worried about the future, but even more about his past, as far as he knew, he was adopted by Zorro and Gemma when he was very young. But he wondered about his real parents, who are they? where are they? are they alive? are they dead? why did they abandon me? how could they abandon me?. These thoughts ticked through his brain as he watched the stars, deep in thought, he was barely even aware of anyone else, he knew feather was there, but he wasnt thinking about her or anyone else at the time, he was too lost in thought, more thoughts entered his brain. Is he really a pridelander? Or is he an outsider? He didnt know, he didnt remember, one thing he knew for sure, he didnt look a bit like the family he had now, and even a blind man can see that. (excuse the expression) Colton sighed, his breath became visible in the cold night. He snapped back into reality "Uh, I was just thinking, don`t ask me to explain, its a long story."

"Time for me to go back to the Pride Lands and say my good-bye's to the home i once lived in, and the resting place of my mother," she then began to walk back to the Pride Lands, she got there and walked into her old den where she and Cheka slept, she smiled to herself, and then she saw the spot where her mother slept, she walked up to it and sat down in front of it as if she were looking right at her. "Mom, i know you can hear me, i just need some advice, now that Kiara is gone and your gone, i need some of the advice maybe from both you and kiara, i need to know if there is a chance of me finding happiness i don't want to rule my new lands alone, what can i do?"

there was a flash of white light and there was a soft female voice, "You must look within yourself to find your happiness, find a new one, your my daughter, you've always been beautiful and will always have your beauty, you can find it on your own, you no longer need my advice for your own problems my wisdom carries itsself within your blood,"

"But i can't they are all gone i rule alone, i won't find a new mate, now that the one i loved is gone,"

Colton heard his mother and walked into the den "Mom, are you okay, maybe if you let me talk to dad about whatever is wrong, I can maybe fix it." He said kindly. "If you wish to talk, I`ll be outside." He said as he walked out.

Colton pulled Feather back by her scruff "Feather, let me talk to him, a private father to son talk, I`m sure I can make things right again." He said confidently.

Colton, glanced back at Feather, shaking his black mane and brown pelt, Colton walked up to his father. "Pop, I know your angry with mom for being so mean, but it wasnt her fault, put yourself in her shoes, how would you react when your mother had just died, and everyone was crowding around? And what will happen if you don`t go back and forgive her, just think about it. Who is the real bad guy? Her for getting upset because her mother has died? Or you, for not forgiving her for getting upset because her mother has died?" And with that Colton smiled at his father and walked away, climbing up the tree he had always been climbing in ever since he was 6 months old.
