"Well, actually, I do know all about it," Scout said. "Though I didn't know that he was the same Balto. But now that I know..." Scout took a minute to take it all in. "Well, I;m very proud of him."
"Wow, Dad," Danielle said, coming up to stand beside him. "Your son saved Nome. Who would have guess?"

Tanya had to choak down another growl, she knew this was the same Balto her 'friend' didn't like but faked a smile. "That's cool, my son-in-law is a hero."
"We're proud of him too." said Ana. "And to think so many people didn't like him because he was part wolf but I think he single handedly changed everyones outlook on wolves."

"I;m glad that people in Nome look at wolves with such a positive look, now," Scout said. "They didn't always. Especailly when I was your age. I was hated in that town most of the time."
"Because of our grandmother." It was supposed to be a question, but it come out as more of a statemet. Scout nodded at her.

"Things are much diffrent now." said Ana. "The humans used to think wolves were monsters, after what papa did, they love wolves." she said. "And papa, he had a hard life in the begining, or so we hear." she said. "He was always being insulted and abused, that's what momma told us...momma and her owner Rosie were the only ones that saw who he was inside and that's why he did it, not for all the people and dogs that hated him but for the two that loved him."

"Well, at least my son got himself a good and happy life the first time," Scout said. "You see, things weren't so easy for you and your grandmother. Back then, the humans weres till hunting down wolves like crazy. They thought that wolves were dangerous and not to be trusted. All of the dogs on my sled team were scared stiff of wolves. And so was I for the longest time. When you live in that kind og world, its hard not to. But that was before me and my team crashed in the middle of a woods. We curled up together against the cold, thinking that someone would find us within a few days. But than those few days passed. And then a few more. And soon, most of the team was dead or dying, mostly from the cold but partly from starvation. I just laid down and gave up, not thinking there was any way I could get out alive. The next thing I knew, I woke up inside your grandmother's den."

Saba gave Tanya a slight glare. She had a feeling thy were less than welcomed by her and her daughter. "Fine, we will," she nearly spat, recieving a warning look from Kodi.
"I'll take you there myself," Scout said, walking off the porch. "I'll see you three later," he said to Tanya and his two daughters. Danielle was already following behind him. He turned back to Ana as he started walking. "I don't know what he could have been talking about," Scout said. "I haven't done anything herioc that I know of."

Once they were out of sight, Tanya turned to her daughters. "Alright, what should we do about theses 'grandchildren' if mine?" she asked. "Alright, lets think, what is the worst thing that could happen?"

Scout smiled at Ana and Dani. "Well, I did try to keep my dog team alive after the crash. I failed, of course, so it wasn't anything to be proud of."
"Dad could go back to Nome and never come back?" Sara suggestedly meekly.
