Colton watched Feather and Kovu play as he shook his mane and padded over to the water hole and drank. He layed down under a shadey tree and flicked the flies away with his tail. He watched the vultures fly around.

"Good thanks Kovu." Said Colton as he took one piece of buffalo and went outside to eat it. He lay on a tree branch eating the buffalo. He looked up at the stars, the starlight seemed to make hs eyes glitter.

Colton sighed as his breath turned to fog in the cold night, he didnt care about the cold, to Colton, somthing in his heart seemed missing. But what. Collton had felt slightly lonely the day he turned one, the day that all one year olds got mates, but he didnt get one, he decided that girls were too much trouble. Yet, now he was two, he still didnt know what the empty space was. He looked back up into the sky and saw a shooting star. "Lucky star." He whispered to himself.

Jaros got to where Gemma and the cubs were. He looked over to Zira. He then jolted to a halt and ran over to her limp body that was hurt again. He nudged her to get up but she didn't. He barried his face in her body. "Please don't be dead my love!" He said.
