A wind slammed the door to the room Scout was in. Please just let this work this one time. she begged to herself. She managed to materilize behind Scout. "Scout...I haven't visited you because I've had to watch Balto." she said. "Believe me, I've wanted to but...things don't work out like that...I'm Balto's spirit guide, and Nava's pack's as well...I don't have a lot of time." she said, showing she was under great strain. "I can't appear to mortals unless I try very hard and I can't stay long unless I'm absolutely needed to, that's why I haven't visited you." she said. "I don't want you to dwell on my death Scout, just remember how much we loved each other, I want you to move on, not dwell in the past, just don't forget me...and don't forget our children...Nava saved our daughter, she's with one of the packs, he send Balto to Nome because he's more dog-like...I don't care how you do your life but I died protecting them...if I meant anything to you please...please don't stop loving our children." she said. "I don't have much time, if there is anything you'd like to say, do it quick, I can't remain in your world in my true form for long."

Scout was startled and had backed up against the wall. But as Aniue kept talking, he slowly moved closer to her. "But what am I to do about this Balto? What should I do?" he asked. "I don't know if I can bear the pain of such memories."

Aniu strained to keep herself visable to her former mate. "I just want you to show him your alive and you care about him." she said. "Remember when you first saw our pups? That love for them I saw in your eye?" she asked. "Both our pups are alive Scout, they don't know you are, don't you think their memories are also full of pain?"

Scout looked at his paws guiltyly. He hadn't thought much about what his pups must go through, even if the memories are dull. "Alright, Aniu," Scout said, finally looking at her fading form. "I'll go. But just to show him I;m alive."

"Thank you." said Aniu. "Scout, I always loved you, I've wanted to tell you that." she said. "I'm happy you moved on, I didn't want you to dwell on me, I just want our pups to know thier father still cares...I can have Nava bring our daughter to see you should you wish." she said, begining to fade. "I'm my pack's spirit guide, Nava included so I can have him bring our daughter here if you'd like to see her." she said. "I don't want to disrupt your family, just reunite ours."

"If that is what you think is best, than yes," Scout said. "And I want you to know that a part of my heart will always be yours. Never forget that. I love you." He said this in a final tone since Aniu was slowly fading away to nothing and he didn't think he would be able to say much more.

Aniu nodded. "Thank you Scout." she said. "I'd nuzzle you but..." she said and tried but merely phased through him. "I can't touch anything in the mortal world." she said. "Goodbye Scout...I'm sorry I didn't get to say that before." she said and disappeared into a flurry of snow, the wind blowing the door open again. It seemed as though time had stood still during the conversation, Ana was still crying outside.
"Let's give him a chance to think about it." said Aleu, trying not to let feelings of rejection creep in. She looked at her aunts. "Well at least we got to meet our aunts." she said. "Its nice to meet you."
Ana began to settle down but tears still ran down her cheeks. Pups were easy to scare sometimes.

Scout looked out the window as reality came back to him. He took a deep breath as he prepared to go talk to his... grandchildren. The word was hard for him to even think. He sighed as he walked out of the room.
"Yes, and its wonderful to meet you too," Sara said, though the siblings were older than Sara, Tera, and Danielle at least the sisters were older than Maria and Ana. Still the word 'aunt' was a little weird.
Kodi sighed angrily. "Such forget it, Aleu," he said, turning his back on the house. "He doesn't want us anymore. He's too content with his old life. Just-just leave him. We'll find something else for Dad's birthday." He began walking away.

"Wait Kodi." said Aleu. "I hear him coming back out." she said, hearing Scout's footsteps. "Besides, we've still got family here technically." she said.
"I like the idea." said Tera. "Its cool to be aunts to other dogs." she said. She looked to Dani, in truth despite being a bully, she really did care about her sister in a way, the sisters all actuelly did. It was one of those 'no one picks on our sister but us' kinda things. Still she didn't want their ruse to be exposed, she motioned for Dani to say something.

"Um, yeah," Danielle agreed. "Its a really wonderful idea." She looked at her mother, than. She knew that Tanya wouldn't be oo thrilled about extended familes. Scout was hers. The whole city knew that. She just prayed that Tanya would show any nasty, jealous sides of her.
Kodi turned back around. "I'm sure your just hearing things," he said to her, but come back to stand with the rest of his siblings.
Maria cocked her head to one side as she noticed the interactions with the sisters. It was almost like Danielle couldn't speak until Tera gave her permission to.
Scout come out the door than. "Wait, don't go," he said hurridly before he saw all eight siblings still there. "Oh," he said with a bit of surprise. "You didn't leave."

Aleu gave her brother an 'I told you so' look before looking back to Scout. "Sorry if we were a little harsh." she said. "We're just really close to our papa." she said. "We understand if you don't want to come back to Nome for a little bit to see him, but you didn't have to yell, you made Ana cry."
Tanya kept herself from looking evilly at them, she didn't want this. Scout was her's and no one else's but she could say anything or she might blow her cover, sure she had another dog, but she didn't mind being not one dog's mate.
OOC: Sorry for disappearing, we open presents on Christmas Eve at my house, I got a Wii which I've wanted since it came out so that's all I can say.

"I'm sorry about that," Scout said, looking mostly at the pup named Ana. "I was just surprised is all. I didn't know how to handle it. You understand, right?" Now, he was speaking to only Ana.

"Well, thats alright," Scout said, straightening up after ducking his head to talk to the pup face-to-face. "Now, when do we leave?"
"You're coming with us?" Kodi said. His eyes went wide and his mouth dropped open. He was sure that Scout was too mad to come with them. Everyone had.
