Aleu is like another Kiara only she’s a wolf and not a lion. Same character if you ask me.

Quote: LOL - overall, that was an awesome post, Cat! Well said! But the part I quoted above? I've always argued that point with people who felt the real story was boring. If you read the accounts of the individual mushers (if they are to be believed), and you take into account the real Balto's post-serum run history, you can find something very interesting, and which would have made a good cartoon story in of itself! The trip to the U.S.? The movie making? The statue? The heartbreak of being sold to the dimestore owner, and how they were neglected? The Cleveland, OH businessman (George Kimball...I think that is the spelling of his last name) who found Balto and the team by chance, passing by the store. Their subsequent purchase and rescue after Kimball spread the word and money was raised? And then the trip to Cleveland, where the team was given a rousing parade, and then comfortable quarters to live in the remainder of their days? That's the kind of story that would have worked well in a children's cartoon, don't you think? (And, after all, the target audience of the Balto cartoons were always children.)
Well, ok, I was overexaggerating..but even so, if they stuck to the real story completely, they'd probably make it more on Sepalla (or whoever Balto's owner was) than Balto himself... Well, either way, I probably wouldn't find it AS interesting as this Balto 1. But also, I DO wish that since they mae a sequel, that they would have based that more on what really happened to Balto afterwards. Balto getting sold would put him on a very interesting adventure full of learning and danger and distress and I would find that much mroe interesting than WQ. So....yeah. Another little thought of mine LoL You could tell me what you thought if the sequel was like that

Hmmm...in response to your last sentence in your reply, I'd say it certainly would be better than Wolf Quest. LOL. No doubts there. But it's apples to oranges anyway, and moot besides. Wolf Quest exists, and no amount of bandying this back and forth by fans will undo it. Heh heh. And really, it has its good points, and it sure has its bad points. But it isn't all bad.
Leonhard Seppala definitely owned Balto...at least until he was sold to the dimestore owner in California.

Ummmm...For the last page, I said I was sorry, but someone still got anoyying. Seriously you people are just asking for a fight. *Throws punch at monitor and monitor breaks*
I SAID it was your opinion, no big deal. I was asking specifically what scenes had bad music? Or too many bloopers?
Fine, you hate Aleu and WQ, your opinion, I'll stay out of it. I'm just saying...Though, Cat, I have to disagree. I don't know if this post was on this page or last one (I don't remember well) But, like some one already said, I would like it to be more based on the original story.
It wouldn't be boring at all. Then they would have Balto die at the end, and no more sequels! Personally, the more you talk about it, the more I see how crappy WQ and Aleu are. Well, uh, someone continue the fight please? Hehe, just kidding.

Okay, if you guys know me: I like Aleu (just her character, not the fact that she was the only wolf-looking one in the litter and all) and I like WQ.
Big deal.
I will admit, both Aleu and WQ have its annoying points, but I try to think about the more positive ones: the fact that WQ's spiritual addition (IMO) made it different and more enjoyable to watch. Sure, it's typical sequel fodder, but heck, it's Balto, darn it.
Aleu's annoying points:
- her corrective grammar (yeah, that would be a great way to fend off enemy clans - correct them when they say something wrong. Like that would work.)
- her voice (yes, I liked her voice because it suited her headstrong yet childish character, but over a period of time, it gets annoying. A nice addition to the colorful voices, but meh.)
- the fact that she was in 80% of the film (and it's a Balto movie? wtf. I agree that Balto should have at least gotten much of the focus, but I hate to admit it: it was Aleu's movie. She was the typical teenager, trying to fit into this large world that she had been born into. She had to discover it herself, while her father had to learn to let her live her own life, no matter what path she chose to follow.)
WQ's annoying points:
- animation (you guys know how I feel about this. This deserves no comment. It was nice at times, but it was a huge downgrade from the animation quality from the original Balto.)
- the typical sequel storyline (we've all seen it before: Hero and his damsel in distress have kids; one of them looks like (or has qualities) the hero (the outcast), and soon discovers the truth that Hero has been hiding; somehow, said outcast learns to accept their differences, while also finding out what their life purpose is . . . . blah, blah, blah. It was predictable.)
- uh . . . blooper much? (yeah. Too many easy to spot bloopers . . . but then again, what major animated movies don't have bloopers? Think about it.)
- the New Age spiritual stuff (yes, I know most of you guys hate it. It's different - that's why you hate it. I still never understood Nava's whole "tree-merge" thing . . . that was odd.)
I think that's enough info for you to ponder on for tonight. Ciao.

Let's see, Aleu gets more screen time than Balto! She doesn't even accept her true heritage until the end. Those are some of my reasons why I hate Aleu.

Here's the answer to your comments, JennaWolf:
And I realized something: Aleu is a young character! That's why she got more screen time than Balto. Remember that Balto said himself that humans have a soft spot for younger characters than old ones like him . . . so that's why it was "Aleu's movie!" omg . . .
And of course she was stubborn enough to not accept who she was until the end because . . . well, wasn't that the point? I guess the writers wanted it to seem like the story would end one way, but in the end, it was all about whether Aleu realized that she was meant for the role of alpha, not her father.
It's a kids movie, darn it. They wouldn't understand (or give a flipping care) about the basics of the storyline (like I care about it so much . . .).
