I ALSO found a great list of why Elizabeth and Jack should be together written by a few fans of POTC 2. I am all for Will and Lizz, but they make some REALLY good points right here!!!

Reasons why Elizabeth Swann and Jack Sparrow should be together:
1. They have freakin awesome chemistry!
2. She taught him the "pirate's life for me" song on the island
3. Because Elizabeth was the first one who wanted to come to Jack's rescue. ("What about Jack, are you just going to leave him?")
4. Elizabeth is more outgoing, like Jack. Go together good.
5. Elizabeth is more scared of Norrington's proposal than she is of being taken hostage by Jack!
6. He saved her life, many times!
7. Even though he says it would've never worked out, we know better!
8. Will is too boring for Elizabeth, Jack's more exciting.
9. Because he was the first man to come to her rescue
10. Because only he recognized that she couldn't breathe with her corset on.
11. Because they saved each others lives so they're square.
12. Because they had an exciting campfire romp.
13. Elizabeth had to convince Will to call her by her first name for years before he actually did it (in hearing distance of anyone, that is). Jack, however, called her Elizabeth right away.
14. If it weren't for Jack, how would Will have managed to save Elizabeth's life?
15. Because Elizabeth is "daft like Jack".
16. Because Jack saved her from drowning...with excellent diving form I must say.
