I'm five hours away from Devon.

I sorta live in the middle of nowhere, it's actually a small town but whenever I tell someone the name most people say "where is that!", it gets annoying after a while.

Parents: Parents can come too, there are a lot of young users on this site expecting thier parents to allow them to go alone is stupid, they would never let them, heck, my mum would'nt let me go to something like this on my own!

Housing: If you meen a place to host the event then I would suggest a function room at a hotel, that would provide plenty of space, plenty of parking space and also accomodation for those who have travelled a long way.

Money: I have a way of raising funds to pay for this, my mum is fine with this and will even help me to raise the funds.

As for your idea of artists being able to sell artwork Balto_tracer, it's great, a wonderful idea, the same thing could be done for fan-fics as well if the writers wanted to!

(I'm back! ) I'm just wondering how far along the line we'd want to do this. During the school year I spend maybe at the least 50-60 hours at the school every week. (yearbook and such) Summer would be good. And then booking... or reserving a place.... That would have to be done at least.. um.. 6 months to a year in advance if a lot of people were gonna be there. (At least were I live aka in the middle of a cornfield) But I'm really glad we got the go ahead from Steet. (The things I miss in just a few days! )

Hi tibb_wolf, we would have to know where we are going to host it first eg. if it's somewhere hot summer may not be such a good idea but somewhere too cold winter would'nt be wise either, also, there is spring aswell. In regard to a host location I'm going to look around on the web for good hotels or convention halls in a good place. We need to find somewhere in a well-known city or outskirts of, where there is a good airport for people who would need to fly-in, like I would, a fairly nice place though eg. Las Vegas would'nt be a good idea with all the casinos and stuff.

Chicago is well known, but I don't think that would be a wise choice because of all the... stuff... that goes on there. But if the security was high enough, then it would be good. And it does have an airport. (good on, too) Wow. I just totaly contridicted myself. *hits head* stupid me! But anyway.. Chicago should be one of the choices. A lot of people know where it is. And they have really nice hotels and stuff there, too!

Good idea tibb_wolf, could the rest of you guys look around for hotels with a good, large function room in a well-known city with a an airport fairly nearby, please!!

One of my friends that's new here (Slient Wolf) said that she'd give us information about some of the hotels and stuff she's stayed in. That'll help imensly, too!

I've been looking for some good places to meet around where I live (in the Maryland-Pennsylvania area). So far, I haven't had much luck, except for finding expensive hotels or places that need some sort of membership or ID...

I'll keep looking. Besides, if someone has a parent or an adult with them, we should be able to get into places that need ID.

Hey, Chicago sounds nice...Because it just so happens that I live close enough to be able to have someone drive me there. But still, I doubt my parents would even take a moments consideration when I mentioned this. And there's the IF it'll even happen. See, I live in Missouri, southwest/southeast, whatever. Kentucky would also be nice, since it's also closer than the other states to where I live. ^^ It'd be cool to go to one of these, but problem is, there has to be some sick people that pretend to be kids that come to this website...And my mom wouldn't want to take the risk...So I should forget about going... I do know there are a few other members who live in Missouri...

That's a thought too! I never thought of that before!
