I have the strange feeling that Balto is becoming the next LBT. The only difference is that Balto is better animated (IMO), has better stories, and the characters are more interesting than LBT anyday!
I would really like it if Balto 4 would be more about Balto himself, not just the whole "hometown hero" side of him. And if they put in another one of his pups in this whole thing . . . . I hope they don't make him/her steal the show (like with WQ).
I also agree that Steele should make a comeback *hears Steele fans everywhere cheering* as so with some of the original characters from the first (not just with half-second cameos please . . .). And Jenna, . . . . what can I say? She needs some action in one of these sequels! (I've wondered what would happen if she did go with Balto to save Duke? Have you?)
Um . . . rant over!

That's a good point.

Wow..you stole my words! That's exactly what I think!
I'm not too sure about it becoming the next LBT. I still don't think they will be making one every year (and I hope they won't, of course). The main reason is that they are still making a LBT every year. I don't see them making two DTV sequels every year... They've always been smaller than Disney.

Well, that's strange . . . . Universal is "smaller" than Disney, and yet the Universal DTVs (mainly focusing on the Balto sequels) are so much better animated than most of Disney's DTV sequels. I think maybe if Universal made a Balto sequel every two years, then they might be better! But I still hope the franchise doesn't become another LBT . . . . even though they are far better than any of the 11 LBT sequels out on the market (That's just sad to hear . . . and good at the same time . . . ).[/b]

Another german person from the same forums also contacted Universal Germany, and here's what he says :
Quote: Well, last message from Universal is, that there are some ideas for a new story. But nobody was able to tell me more about a new stuff. But they want to inform me as soon as they have more informations about Balto 4. I am very excited when I'll get an answere.
I don't think they would lie to two different people. But it seems they're only thinking about it, production hasn't started (maybe just pre-production)
A shame, why can't we suggest them some ideas?

That would be cool if we, the Balto fans, could help them out by suggesting ideas that they could use . . . . Give the fans some say for once, Universal!
But anyway, I think everyone on the board already knows my suggestion (looking back on Balto's past and answering all of the questions that we were left with from Balto/ WQ . . . . I think WoC didn't leave us with any big questions that much.).
