Zasshu caught a whiff of the scent Cheyanne was talking about, then growled to himself. He called over his three siblings - his younger brother Shinso, second youngest brother Markus, and youngest sister Rukii - to go out and investigate the scent further and determine its source. Once the three sibling exited the den to start the search, Zasshu turned back to Cheyanne.

"Do not worry for now, Cheyanne. It was probably noth..." Zasshu stopped, blushing again when he remembered how close they were. "...nothing..." Zasshu just stares at her, scanning her up and down, unknowingly inching closer to her.

Cheyanne watched as Zasshu scanned her up and down. "Zasshu, is something wrong? "She said with a confused look. "She smelled it again. She backed up, ears pierced backwards. Zasshu had never seen the scared side of her, though he felt it. "Zasshu, I don't like this.

"She said, steam coming through her mouth when she spoke. But only her, when Zasshu spoke, nothing happen. It was like Cheyanne was gone, possibly just a spirit. Zasshu could feel her breath, she was not spirit, though it seemed something had taken a life. "Zasshu, what's happen-" Cheyanne froze! Her, Aspen, the pack, and Zasshu heard a fait yelp, then loud piercing one. It sounded like Zasshu's siblings, at least one of them. "Zasshu, what's going on!?" Aspen said in a snarling tone of voice.

Zasshu heard the cry of his sibling, ears flattening with great fear and concern.

"That's Rukii...! I have to help her!!" Zasshu cried out, struggling to stand up.

Aspen stood up. Cheyenne spoke. "No, Zasshu you have to lay down." Cheyenne said. " Me and Aspen will go.

"But Rukii needs me... I have to help her, she's my sister!" Zasshu tries to protest, already feeling lightheaded.

Aspen lunged at Zasshu, grabbing his scruff. She pulled him back. "Zasshu, you can't, you have to stay." Aspen said growling.

Zasshu just stared at Aspen, a look of pain in his eyes from being grabbed by his already wounded scruff, along with a look of extreme worry for his endangered siblings.

"B-But..." Zasshu pleaded quietly.

Aspen snarled, with sort of a smile. She laughed kind of wickedly. She lunged at Zasshu nipping his underarm, making it bleed just a little, she fell back unexpectedly, when she got up her eyes faited. Her sister, could no longer feel her conscience, nor her heart beat.

Zasshu stared at Aspen, confused.

"What... just happened?" he said, worriedly.

Aspen smiled, hanging her head down. Cheyenne backed up to Zasshu. "Zasshu, she's sick. She has-" Cheyenne stopped. "Rabies. ""I have rabies" Apsen said laughing. She started twisting her head back and then forth.

"Cheyanne..." Zasshu said. "How did this happen?"

"Cheyanne... I promise we will help your sister overcome this, but for now I think it's best that she stays at the den to keep from spreading the disease. I'm strong enough to fight now, despite my injuries. So please, I beg of you, let me go with you to save my siblings. If any of them died I could never forgive myself. I already lost Jack, I can't lose anyone more." Zasshu pleaded. "Please, we must hurry before they get seriously wounded!"
