He sneered. "Whatever. I suppose I do, but they'll prove wimps, too, I suppose... dunno why I bother even messing with them when they faint. Should just let 'em die if they're so weak," he mumbled, leaning against a tree.

Coleus stood up. "That's awful, Silver! Take it back!"
He whipped his head to look at her. He narrowed his eyes. "No. Why should I? It's true."

The stranger hesitated. This guy wasnt as tough as he had thought he was. He stood there, mouth hanging open a bit, Den ambling a couple feet to inspect a pebble. "No, its not true," the stranger began slowly. "Pokemon rely on us, like a child to their parents."

"Is that how you see yours?" Silver snorted. "Mine don't... they'd be too weak to keep if they were."

Coleus stood, clenching her jaw. She couldn't possibly wish he was kinder more.

The stranger shrugged. "If thats your opinion," he said, not wanting to try and argue woth the kid. Silver was stubborn, and wouldnt let go of his opinions easily. Plus, the stranger could tell the girl was getting upset.
"Come on, Den," he said, pulling out his pokeball. Den retreated into the ball, clutching his pebble.

"Thank you, sir," Coleus muttered, picking up Volt.

Silver simply leaned against a tree.

The stranger caught Coleus' eyes and smiled. "It's Anthony," he said.

Lucas looked out to the streets of goldenrod city through the window, his pokemon lying on the hotel bed. Lucas smiled and thought back towards when he met his pokemon.

Bulbasaur was a pokemon that was given to him by professor Oak, Oak said that bulbasaur was a leftover pokemon after the others were taken by two other trainers. Lucas knew bulbasaur was close to evolving because the plant seed on bulbasaur's back was large, sweet-smelling, and small bits of red were poking through the top. as for behavior bulbasaur was often quiet and kept to himself. "just like me" Lucas said to himself.

Gastly he remembered very well. after pulling a few ghostly pranks on Lucas, he threw a pokeball at a strange shadow that seemed to be the source of the mayhem and he caught the Gastly. he did stop pulling pranks once Lucas caught him...pulling pranks on Lucas anyway, Gastly constantly terrorized other people and pokemon that were nearby. Nontheless he was loyal and followed orders.

"Larvitar is a little sketchy though," Lucas thought. he occasionally did his own thing when ordered something else and was often a cause for mischief but unlike gastly he did not follow orders to stop. also quite destructive and when something was broken 9 times out of 10 it had something to do with larvitar. though he had recieved larvitar in a trade which is probably a big part of it. but Lucas knew it took a lot of patience,time,patience,work, oh and patience.

Although he liked his pokemon very much and wouldn't think for even a millisecond about releasing them or even trading them.

Personality: Brave and determined, but also cares very much for his pokemon. Max has a soft spot for his timid Cyndaquil, Blaze, whom he constantly looks out for.

"Alright Blaze, I believe in you! Let's give it another go. Blaze, use Ember!" Max called, beaming confidently and reassuringly at his pokemon. "I know you can do it!"

Blaze blinked up at her trainer, then reared up on her hind legs and took a deep breath as if preparing for the simple attack. But when she released her breath, only a puff of smoke came out. The tiny cyndaquil sat down on the grass, looking ashamed and disheartened. However, Max walked over and picked her up with a small smile. "It's okay," He told her. "We can try again later buddy."

Flare, Max's Growlithe, looked up from his bowl of poke-food as Max set Blaze down by her bowl. He sniffed in the direction of Blaze's food and, seeing that his bowl was almost empty and hers was full, attempted to steal some of hers. However, Max scolded him and sent him away before he could. "No Flare, don't be a bully. Go eat what's left of yours."

Dash gave what sounded like a light little chuckle, then went back to grooming her paws daintily. She always took pride in her appearance and constantly groomed herself to near perfection. Some who looked at her might've thought she was a vain little princess of a pokemon, but in a fight she was swift and relentless. Not to mention she was rather nice in personality... She just liked to be clean.

Blaze was the most timid of Max's pokemon. She was also the smallest and quite frankly the weakest, but Max never gave up on her. The little cyndaquil was pretty useless in a fight, and the only way she gained experience was from practicing moves and learning new ones. Sometimes she even sparred with Flare or Dash. But lately she'd been behind on her learning. She could not seem to learn Ember and move on from level nine to level ten.

Flare was the laziest of the bunch, but certainly not disobedient. Food and sleep were his favourite things, especially food. He was jolly in nature but also tended to get angry easily if someone did something to really rile him up. While not Max's fastest or smartest pokemon, he was certainly strong.

Last but not least Dash was the most clean and proper of the party, but was also the fastest and smartest. Her wits and speed were valuable to the team and she knew it. So far she had won two battles for Max, and Max had only ever had four battles since his career as a pokemon trainer began. One of them, he'd lost because he'd been up against water and ground types. Blaze had been his last pokemon out and, facing off with a Totodile, chickened out and retreated back to Max.
