Racheal lifted her head, hearing claws against the cobblestones. She knew exactly who it was, "Go home." She growled quietly. "This is your chance, they'll release me once they know the truth so leave. I can't risk you getting caught." She whispered the knight looking over his shoulder and then forward again. Racheal kicked a small stone at Rikkes. "Go on now." She said, flipping onto her stomach and pulling herself up so she could walk on her own feet. She kept her head low, getting taken straight to a big arena where they would hang her in the center of it, in front of everyone who cared to watch. Once word got out everyone began rushing into the stadium, waiting for her to get in.

Rikkes paused, unsure, knowing she was lying. These weren't forgiving people. He growled, shaking his head, he dashed into the crowd and after them towards the stadium. He shifted back into a bird, flying up and circling the place, ready to drop to save her.

Racheal shook her head as they lead her down a really long hallway and out into the public. Her hands were tied behind her back as they walked her to a platform, where she faced a lot of cheering and yelling people. Racheal looked around. Hm, come to think of it, this is the fourth attempt this town has had of killing me. She thought, amusing herself. She smiled slightly as they slipped the rope around her neck, she knew this wouldn't end well. The knights looked around, opening the door under her and letting her dangle. They laughed as her face redened, she struggled for air.

Rikkes dove from the air, not for the first time today, heart pounding. He shifted into a human, dropping onto wooden platform in a crouching position, he drew his sword and slashed the rope, letting her drop before landing next to her, "When I shift, mount me and hang on tight to my mane." he said, facing everyone and narrowed his eyes, shifting into his horse form, a massive bay Andalusian before looking back at her.

Racheal's eyes fluttered closed as the rope constricted the last bit of air out of her. She was relieved when the rope got cut and when she dropped. She gasped for air, loving the feeling of the air back in her lungs. Racheal looked over at the horse, her vision blurry. She pulled herself off the ground and pulled herself weakly onto his back. She still gasped for air as she grabbed handfuls of his beautiful mane and held on tight. Everyone in the crowd was in awe. "Why'd you come back? They know what you look like now." She breathed out, trying to get her breath back in her lungs.

Rikkes looked back at her, he couldn't speak to her in horse form, but he didn't care. He nickered softly, trying to tell her to just take care and hand on before looking forward and charging the guards. They scattered and he galloped down the street, making it quickly out of the city and racing towards her shack so she could collect her things and run with him. She was no longer safe.

By the time they got about half way to her shack she was back to her old self again, though her face was a little bit messed up from the time when the knights had hit her. She sat up straight on Rikkes' back, looking over her shoulder to see if they were being followed. Of course not, no one dared to follow her. She looked around the familiar area, seeing the path where she had been dragged through the bushes and across the grass and dirt. She sighed, seeing her home come into view as they ran toward it. Not knowing what to expect. Racheal could see Zorro in the pasture, nickering and rearing up at Rikkes'. Racheal put a hand up, "Shh, Zorro easy." She said firmly.

Rikkes slowed to a trot outside her shack, he waited for her to dismount before shifting into a human, "Get your stuff, we have to scram, take only what you need, saddle up your horse and put a pack saddle on me, I'll carry what you wish to bring." he said urgently.

Racheal looked him over, "I don't need much of anything." She said simply before dis-mounting him and grabbing the small bag of coins she had collected earlier. She ran into her house and grabbed her sketches of Jasper, she folded them neatly and placed them down into the satchel she wore now. She grabbed her necklace out of the tattered room and walked back outside. She tacked up Zorro and kicked his sides, she was sure that Zeus would find himself a home. But meanwhile she left out plenty of food and water for the puppy.

Rikkes nodded, but shifted into a horse anyway, he preferred the form over most, made him feel powerful and regal, but elegant at the same time. He followed after her, knowing that she'd never be able to return home, feeling bad for her.

Racheal stopped Zorro for a moment, taking a quick second to look back at her now wrecked home. Zeus stood in the doorway, watching his master turn and look back at him. Zeus limped as fast as he could, almost jogging to Zorro's side. Racheal felt sorrow as she peered through one window and saw a picture that she had drawn of Jasper ripped in half. She chocked back tears and rode on next to Rikkes. She didn't say anything and she didn't look at him either, all she could do was stare into Zorro's black mane, thinking about Jasper. She sighed and kicked his sides, Zorro galloping. Zeus having not much trouble to keep up.

Rikkes snorted and galloped after her. He tossed his head and kicked up his heals, the thoughts and happiness of a free horse filling him. When he changed into any animal, it was like that. He had his human conscious and the animal conscious and he could control them both and feel both perfectly fine. They sort of melted together.

Racheal looked down at Zeus, who was surprisingly not having any trouble keeping up with Zorro. This puppy was tough. That's what he was bred to be anyway. Strong, fierce, and tough. Racheal looked around, she shook her head. My home. My home, and I'm the one running from it. She thought with mixed emotions. Racheal sighed deeper as her face hardened, growing angry with each passing second. She rode with intensity, a fire burning deep in her eyes.

OOC::// I'm in an independent study period in the library on my comp- supposedly going German, I'm not sure when the class'l be over, so if I suddenly get offline my free period is over and later I have study hall... so yeah.

Rikkes ran ahead, just to see if he could find anywhere to hide. He knew his home was out of the question and it saddened him. It would be a while before he could return to his big comfy home and his books. He didn't mind a bit of travelling though and his hooves ate up the ground eagerly. Maybe this would be a good sort of... vacation of sorts.

Racheal looked up and then over her shoulder. "I've got an underground home about 20 miles west of here." She said and looked over at Rikkes, knowing he couldn't talk in animal form. "We could go there and refuge until we find another place or we can live on the road, your pick." She said, stroking Zorro's neck. Zeus barked at a bush, a rabbit shooting off and down into a burrow that it had probably dug. "It's well hidden."
