Scotty gave a big sigh the fell silent starting to play Katie's Song humming a bit at first. Ignoring Marty's expectant glance.

Maddy and Sydney turned and watched in silence, smiling encouragingly. Sin looked out the window, interested, but not willing to look at Scotty.

Katie couldn't help but grin as she started to tap on the steering wheel and bob her head slightly.

Scotty sighed and started to sing along to his music " The secret side of me, I never let you see. I keep it caged but I can't. control. it. So stay away from me, the beast is ugly: I feel the rage and I just can't hold it. It's scratching on the walls, in the closet, in the halls. It comes awake and I can't control it... Hiding under the bed, in my body, in my head. Why won't somebody come and save me from this, make it end?..." He played quickly before singing, giving the loud rock son his own personal sound, softer but still just as good. "I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin: I must confess that I feel like a monster. I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun: I must confess that I feel like a monster. I, I feel like a monster.. I, I feel like a moooonnnsssttteeer."

Sin perked, liking the song that he'd never heard. He liked it so much, because Sin related to it. The young man scowled at the ground as he digested the lyrics, his eyes swimming with thought. His heart throbbed at the song, he always felt like a monster. Everyone took one look at him, and winced. Yes, Sin was a monster.

Maddy smiled a bit bigger, she loved it hen others sang. As did Sydney, she bobbed her head, even though she wasn't familiar to the song.

Marty grinned, he liked country music, but couldn't get over how everyone in the car seemed to be involved in the song.

Scotty noticed this to and continued to sing, singing the next line which copied the first, before getting into his favorite parts " It's hiding in the dark, it's teeth are razor sharp. There's no escape for me, it wants my soul, it wants my heart! No one can hear me scream, maybe it's just a dream: Maybe it's inside of me, stop. this. monster!... I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin I must confess that I feel like a.. monster!" He was louder and more rough sounding at that part, because the original song had a "growl" at that part. "I hate what I've become, the nightmare's just begun I must confess that I feel like a monster. I feel it deep within, it's just beneath the skin, I must confess that I feel like a monster... I've gotta lose control, he's something radical I must confess that I feel like a monster. I, I feel like a monster.. I, I feel like a monster..!" He strummed the final and let the sound echo for the end.

Sin remained silent as Maddy and Sydney erupted into praise and cheering.

"That was awesome! You're an awesome singer! You should be famous! I'd so fangirl! Argg! That was so cool!" Maddy rambled, fangirling away.

Sydney nodded, "Yes, you've got a really nice voice." She complimented.

Sin was quiet, lost to the world, hiding in his head, where he mulled over the song. The lyrics, everything. He couldn't speak, the song had upset him. Seeing this, Maddy naturally went to him.

"Sin...?" She asked, he didn't move, just stared off. "Sin, are you all right?" Maddy asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah.." He muttered, "Fine." He grumbled, still looking out the window.

"See dude, now you'll have to play somethin' for the ladies, your fans." Marty teased, allowing Maddy and Sin to be.

Scotty just smirked and rolled his eyes, examining his guitar.
"I know just the song, Scotty!" Katie chimed happily, she thought he was far baetter than anything on the radio.

"So do I, and it's ten times better!" Marty chimed mouthing 'Yours to Hold' to Scotty.

Scotty shook his head "Nah, I'm good..." He chuckled.

Maddy was too concerned with Sin to be wrapped up in their chatter. She looked at him with worried eyes, sensing this, Sin turned and glared at Maddy.

"Stop looking at me." He growled, turning back away.

"But your sad, what's wrong?" Maddy asked.

"Nothing wrong!" Sin finally yelled, making Maddy double back.

"Sin! Apologize!" Sydney growled.

"No, I'm not sorry!" He yelled.

The other three friends jumped a bit at his outburst Marty being the only on to snap "Dude, that wasn't cool. Leav the kid alone."

"Keep your trap shut!" Sin growled, "She's fine, look, see? She's fine" Sin said, pointing at Maddy who was used to his constant bullying. She sat quietly, her head ducked down, looking at the ground, frowning. She didn't like it when Sin got mad at her.

"Sin, you can't keep being mean to Maddy-" Sydney tried.

"I can be whatever I want to her," He snorted.

"She don't look fine to me dude, She's not yer' property bro, leave her alone, Syd's right." Marty argued.
"..Marty.." Katie whimpered, only to be ignored.

Scotty just remainedsilent, trying to ignore the arguing.

Maddy whimpered and put her hands over her ears, she didn't like bickering or fighting. That was why she ran away, her parents were always fighting over her. Maddy couldn't stand it.

"It's fine." She piped, wanting the arguing to stop.

"See? I told you. She doesn't care. She's cool." Sin said lazily, rolling his eyes and looking out the window. Sydney gave MAddy a thoughtful look, but turned back around.

Once the fighting died down the only thing that could be heard was the soothing strum of Scotty's guitar.

"Marty recognized the tune, but couldn't but his finger on the song, all it was was soft and comforting.

Maddy didn't feel very cool, she never felt 'cool' when Sin yelled at her. She remained silent, a lump in her throat. Sin wasn't planning on speaking either. Sydney frowned, feeling the awkward tension.

Marty didn't like the awkward tension either, he wanted Scotty to sing to them once again. So, since he couldn't remember the song he was playing. He began tapping, tapping a ryhtmic tune one he knew Scotty would recognize.

When the black haired boy looked at him he started humming, Scotty simply stared at him unil he noticed Katie watching them in the rear veiw he then started strumming a new song, leaving Marty to smirk.

He began singing: " I see you standing here.. But you're so faaar away. Starving for your attention, you don't even know my name...You're going through so much But I know that: I could be the one to hold you..Every single day, I find it hard to say: "I could be yours alone." You will see someday: That all along the way I was yours to hold... I was yours to hold..." He sang mostly to himself but the car was too quiet for the others not to hear.
Katie listened silently to the song ocasionally glancing back at them.
