Sergei now made his way throughout the tall grasses, he had spotted a small herd of antelopes, and was now slowly sneaking towards them. They spotted him, and ran, but he ran after them, noticing an old and weak one being left behind. Sergei lunged towards it with a roar, and stroke it down on the ground biting it's neck, until it struggled no more. He was just about to take his kill home, when four small yet evil figures surrounded him.

- Well well, look what we've got here, boys, a voice called somewhere in the dark. Now the figures showed themselves, and Sergei was surrounded by four nasty looking hyenas.

- It's a lion, and looks like he's got us some dinner, one of them said with an evil smile, and they started getting closer.

Sergei let out a low growl as a warning, but when it had no effect, he had no choice but to grab the kill and run away. The hyenas went after him, and soon he was trapped on a cliff's edge. Now, the hyenas attacked him, Sergei fought bravely for his kill, he slashed the hyenas to the ground but they always got up and attacked again. And no matter how big and strong he was, the four hyenas overpowered him, biting and clawing him badly. Finally, he just couldn't take anymore and fell to the ground, panting heavily, the hyenas grabbed the kill and ran away laughing.

(that's alright, makes it much more fun to read^^ and how about Amali have some slight power from the Great Kings, like knowing death and injury?)

He'll be back, Amali told herself repeatedly.

She curled up in a tighter ball, pressing her cheek against her paws. She couldn't shake the feeling that Sergei was needing help. She could remember this feeling, it was the same one she got when her brother got injured by hyenas. She could still hear their laughter in her ears.

She suddenly put her head up. The laughter wasn't in her head, it was real! She ran out begging that Sergei would be alright. But as she rushed to the white lion out there, something crossed her mind; why was she caring so much about him? She answered herself that it was because he had done a lot for her, and she had only met him. But she began to wonder if he could also wipe away the pain from her heart, but she told herself that she would never open up to anyone like that again. Love was dangerous as it only brought hurt and pain.

But still, what if..........

Sergei got himself up, but just barely could stand, every part of his body hurt like hell, and what's worse, he had lost his kill, the food he had promised to provide Amali. His heart was filled with anger, and shame, he had never lost a fight in his life and now he had to loose to four hyenas, creatures who were a lot smaller than him. He started limping his way back home, every step hurt more than the last, and all he could think of was the dissapointment he had brought to himself, and Amali, promising he'd bring her food, but then couldn't do that. He panted heavily as he was slowly walking towards his den, and then he couldn't anymore, and collapse to the ground in pain.

(And could it be that Rafiki also warned Sergei about her, without name, like he would meet someone who can feel pain and that someone would change his life?)

Amali ran onto the Savannah, using her sense of pain and injury to find him. Every time he stumbled or felt a pang of pain, she felt it too. It was so much she just wanted to curl into a ball and sleep, but she pushed herself on. Soon, she found his scent and followed. When she saw him stumble, she ran up to him and put her head under his. "Oh, Sergei. What happened?"

(Sure! Because she definetly will change his life, but in a good way)

Sergei saw Amali run towards him, and felt her putting her head under his chin, and now he could stand up properly with her help.

- Nothing, I'm all right, he said, and twisted his face from pain.

(But he won't know it till the end^^)

Amali winched as Sergei flinched. She felt a pang of pain on her left shoulder. She looked at his and saw a deep gash there.

"Nothing, huh?" she asked. "Sergei, tell me what's wrong."

- Okay, I was attacked by hyenas. They took the antilope I caught for you, Sergei then explained to Amali, he figured why lie to her when she could obviously see he wasn't all right. And as he spoke, he panted heavily, as it was getting harder and harder for him to stand up.
