Neol didn't know the way back at all, but he didn't want to seem like a bother. "If..you don't mind..." he said shyly.

"Sure thing!" Randi woofed, beginning to trot back towards the long dusty road.

Neol followed right behind her, trying to memorize the path.

Randi led him to the main road into town and stopped.
"Here we are!"

"Thanks.." he said padding onto the street. He glanced back at her. "I..uh..had fun..Randi.."

"Yeah me too! Maybe we could do it another time!" Rnai called, trotting off down the road.

Neol nodded and watched the lab trot off before slinking home.

Once Randi got back home, she walked through her dog door and into the house, immediately feeling the warmth of the fire. She sighed, and saw
Shep sleep, so she trotted up to him and pawed his cheek.
"Hm...? Oh, howdy there Randi." He greeted her with a slight yawn.
"Heya Shep."

Neol was greeted by his father as he walked into him home. The older collie made a comment about Randi, having seen the two leaving town earlier that day. Neol just nodded and lay by the fire.

Randi lay down and sighed, curling her tail over her nose best she could. She fell asleep almost instantly

The next morning, Neol woke up sleepily and stretched, heading out the door while talking to his younger sister.

Randi yawned into her food bowl, listening to the radio buzz softly. Her human sat at the table , eating his breakfast and drinking coffee.

"Ooh..dad says you got a new friend!" Neol's peppy blonde half-sister chimed. Neol shrugged. "Is she cuuute?"
"Miracle." Neol groaned.
"Come oon. Tell me!" Miracle laughed. She perked as she looked down the street. "Oh! There's Trooper. Gotta go! We'll talk later Neol!" she barked before dashing off toward her friend.

Randi shook out her fur and then trotted outside, nodding a hello to Shep before darting down the road. She entered town with a bright smile.

Neol sat down by the post office's door, watching everyone as they walked past.
