Heather looked around. The place was empty, what time was it? Heather looked at the clock, horrifyed to see that it was 2:00 in the morning.

"Oh my, it's so late." she said.

Atticus gazed quickly up at the clock but he heard and Angus muttered something and the Irish man took his attention, then however the door opening and closing, he turned to see, man, large, but no match for Angus, with buzzed jet black hair, come in. He staggered and it was obvious he was already wasted.

"Hello Kyle..." Angus sighed.

"Hey.... Angus..." the man slurred slowly.

Attiucs instantly got a bad feeling, on that made him stand slowly.

"Kyle, lad, it's two AM no more drinks." Angus said calmly.

"Oh C'mon Angus..." the drunkard began.

"Sorry Kyle." was Angus's reply.

Kyle sighed "Now Angus..." he slurred, slowly pulling a hand held pistol from his pocket.

Atticus stiffened and backed up next to Heather.

Heather had to help somehow. She was good in these kinds of situations. She couldn't let that man get hurt, Heath too, stood. She took a few steps towards the drunk Kyle and cleared her throat.

"Excuse me sir, not to be rude, but I do admire you're pistol. What make is it?" She asked. Heather knew that drunks were not smarter than toddlers, maybe sh could trick him into giving it to her.

Atticus looked over at Heather then he snuck around Kyle, Angus moved down the bar and handed him a gun he kept behind the counter knowing the officer could handle it.

Kyle turned his bloodshot eyes to Heather and blinked, "And why do you want to know?" he asked..

"Because, it's really..I don't know...It looks like it could be worth a fortune. But I can't determine that at this distance. If you'll let me see it, I promise to tell you it's worth and give it right back." Heather promised, "I was a girl scout, scout's honor not to lie." She added, knowing how he was dumb-down at the moment.

"Atticus, don't let her near him!" Angus whispered urgently making the detective blink.

Kyle wasn't as stupid as they assumed him to be, and Angus knew that. Kyle smirked "Well doll..." he slurred, starting to circle her, "I don't much trust... scouts!" he snarled, he then grabbed her by the arm and put the gun to her head.

"Let 'er go!" Atticus ordered instantly taking aim at him.

Heather's jaw clenched, but she remained relaxed. She was used to these kind of people, the dangerous kind, the risky kind.

"I'm not fooling you. I think that gun is worth money, probably a lot to get you a whole sh*t load of beer. Money holds no value in my eye, so why would I keep it?" Heather said, sticking to her story without missing a beat,

"Well then I guess it don't matter if you take a look at it or not." Kyle replied, still holding the gun to her head.

Atticus just stood stiffly.

Heather blinked, and without missing another beat said, "I can't see it very well when it's pressed to my temple. Now can I? Dude, I don't want to start anything. I just want to see you gun." Heather cooed. Her voice like soft velvet. A kind of voice that said 'I can be trusted.'

Kyle chuckled "I've dealed with your type before doll, I'm not givin' ya' the gun!" he hissed forcing the gun harder into her temple.

"You're loss, was willing to make you on offer. You could pawn it at my friend Oscar's shop." Heather cooed.

"No thanks doll, I've still got some use for this old gun."

"Fine, whatever." She huffed.

"Let her go lad!" Angus ordered.

Kyle chuckled and looked at Atticus who was aimed with his gun intently on him. "Why you gonna get this wanna be cop after me?" he asked with a smirk, hooking his arm around Heather's neck, and tightening his arm in a choke hold.

Heather gagged, clawing his arm and trying to find air. But there wasn't any for her reach. She kicked and felt her face get hot, it suddenly hit her that she may very well die. Heather tried to reason, but she was like a fish out of water.

"I-I can't b-b-breathe...Let me GO!" She demanded, struggling for the air she needed/
