Lara slowly dragged herself back up the hill. She hadn't found Madness, but with a territory as large as theirs, it was possible they'd been within yards of each other.

"If she were able to sleep then I could tap into her memory and find out who did this," Lara heard Nix say, her voice muted by pine and oak trees. Lara still had a ways to go before she would be back to where she wanted to be. She didn't even know if she could make the thirty to fourty feet without collapsing. Gah... So tired. Lara said, shaking her fur and yawning.

Amazingly, she did, and as soon as she was within five feet of Lyra, she lied down.

"Lara," Lyra whimpered. Her entire body was matted with dried blood and her eyes looked like two giant orange tears. Lara dragged herself closer.

"Sshhh.... It's alright now, I'm here, it'll be okay." Lara murmured, licking Lyra's forehead.

"It hurts," Lyra whimpered again. Lara bowed her head. Whoever did this... OR whatever did this would pay, big time. Lara licked her sister's head again, then put her head on her paws, covered in dusty dirt

"I heard you talking," Lara paused as a yawn came. "I could check her mind right now... I just don't know if I have the energy."

Lara snapped her head up at Nix. She might not ever wake up? Lara looked to her sister, who was pressed as close as she could be to her side. Fear beyond belief was in her eyes.

"Do whatever you need to do," Lara sighed very softly.

Lara felt her sister's breathing ease. "It's working... Right?" She asked Nix.

"nix nodded " not without a speical plant man"

Zilch · **Posted:** Mon Oct 31, 2011 5:55 pm

Lara leapt to her feet. "Tell me what it looks like... I can go find some if it'll help." Anything for her sister.
