With thoughts of her family still in mind, Eevee found herself saying, "I guess....for my family to be like it was before..." A pause followed. "Before my mom died." Pain still lanced through her at the memory of her mother, kind and gentle.

Eevee had actually been left to care for by her older brother, almost at a mature age himself. Her father didn't really care for either of them; she barely knew him, honestly. "My brother took care of me," she said. After her mom had died - which was only a year before - her brother had started making some bad decisions. He ended up having to leave her, and despite all he did...Eevee still missed him. He was really the only one she had.

The baby Kangaskhan popped up and smiled. "Thank you!" she said, happily.
Zorua nodded. "Yeah, they really are," he said, smiling to his baby sister as they reached the new house, which was pretty big.

Eevee smiled in thanks, then walked inside. It was a lot nicer than her old house, to say the least. Her tail waved slowly in pleasure, her small smile widening into a large grin. And even though she had said it quite a few times by now, she couldn't help but repeat, "Thank you."

"I haven't done that much," Eevee mumbled. While compliments were nice, they always made her feel a bit self-conscious, in a way, as if they now expected a lot from her. She did enjoy geting complimented, of course. Who doesn't? But they were hard to accept without seeming stuck-up.
