Yeah, I think the point was that people come HERE - to the Balto forums - and complain about Balto. If people don't like or don't care for Balto, why are they here? It's a valid question. And yes, by "here" I mean the Balto side of AS, not the entire thing. I'm with DT on this one, I don't understand why people who don't like Balto come here, to the Balto site, just to say how much they don't like it. It makes no sense.

it has nothing to do with judging personal taste either. You're free to dislike Balto, the question is why are you complaining about Balto on a site that is devoted to people who LIKE Balto? That's the part that doesn't make sense.

I never said I disliked Balto, because I do like it. And people who don't like it are as free to express their opinions as people who do like it. It's their right. Plus it's always interesting to hear other opinions, is it not?

I'm sure people would get pretty bored if all you heard was "Balto is brave." "Balto is selfless." "Balto is amazing."

You obviously didn't read what I said. Read it again. You're free to have whatever opinion you want, the question is why are you complaining about Balto on a site that is specifically made for people who LIKE Balto? How much sense does that make? If you don't like Balto, why are you here? It's a valid question.

I think it's funny how the people who complain about Balto by saying thing like he's boring, or the movie was boring, or he's selfish, or whatever are also the quickest to say "I never said I didn't like Balto" and "I can have whatever opinion I want".

Sounds like a contradiction to me. If you do like Balto then why are you defending your negative opinion of him by saying you're allowed to have it? That doesn't make any sense. And again, nobody is saying you're not allowed to have a negative opinion. Apparently this needs to be said multiple times because it's not getting through. The question, again, is why are you expressing it here?

This is a site for people who like Balto. If you're just going to come here and complain about Balto and the movie, why bother? I'm sure there are other sites you could do that on. You know, sites that aren't made specifically for people who like Balto. Do you normally frequent sites with content you don't like? If so, why? Do you just enjoy conflict? Do you just enjoy complaining? What is the attraction for you guys who come here complaining about Balto?

I'll say this again because I'm pretty sure saying it twice already hasn't made it clear enough: Nobody is saying you can't have a negative opinion of Balto. The question is simply why are you bringing it here? And saying "I can do what I want" is not a good enough answer to that question. Most of us here - and I stress the word "most" - really enjoy Balto. That's why we're here.

Why are you here?

Well, originally I came here because I loved the films and wanted to post my fanart here. I still love the films, but I've given up even trying to post artwork here, because of the rules (namely one rule in particular, but I won't go into that right now), and the fact that the mods couldn't leave my OCs alone. > <;;

@ Xaqtly: Stop raggin' on Starcatcher. They're most likely replying to the topic's question. Either way be respectful, it's not all about you and you're opinion.
People say what they want because they have the right to and want their opinion to be heard. Plain and simple really.

On that note some people who will say they don't like Balto on a main topic as such, are fine to say what they want.
...though if they say basically the same thing on every topic in the Balto section then that's a little uncalled for. Mostly cause it's spamming.

The topic's question is aimed at people who like Balto. I don't really see how Starcatcher or Rebel fall into that category judging on the sheer volume of complaints they (and a couple others) always seem to have about the movie. In any case, are you really chastising me for expressing MY opinion? Didn't you just say, in that quote right there, that people have the right to say what they want to and you want their opinion to be heard?

Does that sentiment only apply to people who are not me? Is my opinion less valid than theirs? The fact remains that it's a valid question. if you don't like Balto, or feel the need to complain about him or the movie constantly, why are you here? What does this site have to offer anybody who feels like they have to constantly express their dislike of Balto or the movie? I know why I'm here, I love Balto.

Right. Notice you didn't say anything to them when they expressed negative opinions, but you immediately responded to me when I spoke up. Please stop pretending to be neutral, it's insulting. You are either content to let people say whatever they want, or you're choosing sides. Either I have exactly as much a right to say what I want to say as anybody else, or I don't. Which is it?

Also please note that this would already have stopped if you hadn't "intervened" by telling me to stop posting. This is my opinion, and I'm expressing it. I'm pretty sure you said that was okay with you, yes? All right then.

I took up your recommendation Roi, and watched Anastasia on Netflix.

You were right, it was a great movie! I really loved the songs in the film, especially the track when she left the orphanage.

Balto fans might recognize that Lacey Chabert (Aleu, Balto 2) and Charity James (Dusty, Balto 3) have voice cameos in the film.

Surprised it was a Don Bluth film, his other works seemed so much... darker by comparison.

And I agree on the Don Bluth part. I'm surprised it's not more dark too, but I recon the loss of nearly all her family is dark enough]

I do like the movie, but I'm realizing that its really only because I loved it when I was really young. I guess I just really liked the characters. Back then I couldn't really judge a movie.'I'm sure if I just saw or recently for the first time, I probably wouldn't like it as much or maybe not even at all. I don't know. Although I do still like. I'm just not sure if I would still get angry or try to defend it.
