"If you make it through, there's no doubt, you'll be better suited to protect yourself, and Mishka, better than ever before," Ace nodded.

"Well, it was lovely meeting you," Sarah said, "But I'm going to go to sleep until the flight is over, bye." she walked away.

Zero waved her off then sat there silent, deep in thought about what was to come.

"I suggest you get some rest, it's gonna be a while before we get to Virginia," Ace said.

"Alright." Zero said as he went back into his container. He was almost tempted to say it how his buddy Zak used to say it and smiled at the thought. That little city guy drawl of 'awright' was funny to him. The thought made him a bit homesick.

Ace watched Zero quietly from his container, then closed his eyes, making sure not to fall completely asleep in case somthing happened.

This was my choice... Can't go back on it now. Zero thought, sighing quietly and starting to fall asleep.

Kids got a long way to go, but I think he'll make it. Ace thought as he settled down. I just hope I can keep my promise to him.

(Shall we time skip or is Slick gonna interrupt Zero's sleep or something? XD)
Zero eventually fell asleep, head on paws and ears flicking.

(I was thinking about that, but you'll see more of Slick later, I'm not done with him yet. A few hours later...
Ace got up, shook himself, and walked over to where Zero was, "Hey, I think it's almost time to go."

Zero opened his eyes slowly and yawned, keeping his muzzle turned away so he didn't yawn right in Ace's face. "Gotcha..."

Slick came running up to Zero looking like he was in trouble, "Say, if some girls come over here, looking for me, I'm not in your container," he jumped in Ace's container and shut the door.

"But that's not my-" Before he could finish the door was shut. Zero looked at Ace, clearly confused. "What just happened?"
