I guess the line of, "Woulda, coulda, didn't" works here....but if its a problem, (Members getting away with swearing) then it MUST be reported so it can be noticed.

I would cut down on this attitude. Do not act like it is your given duty to hunt down and report people who are breaking the rules. Do not act like you were lenient to people who you've seen breaking the rules, as that implies a position of higher authority. This act by a member is called minimodding, and is not looked favorably upon by any staff of any website. You are not a mod, nor will you ever be one with this kind of attitude.

It's not a problem of "that word is worse than this other word".
Do you expect me to write a list of "the allowed words VS the forbidden words"? That would be nonsense, no one would go through such list.

That doesn't mean someone should automatically be banned as soon as there's one swear.
You see, it's a matter of "does the member have a GOOD reason to say it, or not?" AND the frequency of it happening by the same member.
So yes, it's up to the moderators to determine if this deserves to be "punished" or not, case by case. True, it leads to different opinions - but how can it be any different?

In any case, unless someone uses a curse in every sentence, I don't think this deserves more than a warning...

I had no idea it was called minimodding but if someone writes a nasty message, should we still report them or let the mods take care of it cause I am confused about reporting system^
