David ran to the park, following the scent that he picked up, but stayed in the shadows on his way there. Once he seen the girl he was searching for, David stopped running and stayed in the shadows. He showed his muzzle and teeth to the girl through light from a lamppost that was nearby while snarling at her playfully but any normal human wouldn't know that.

Katie saw the teeth and gasped, she slowly got off the swing and then took off running tward the river.

David smiled and howled. He chased after Katie but kept a good distance away from her.

Katie stopped at the rivers edge to catch her breath while she looked around to see if whatever it was was still chasing her.

David showed his whole face to Katie and snarled at her playfully. He watched her closely while doing so to see what she would do.

Katie would have screamed except it felt like she couldn't breath. Then with one last hope she took a deep breath and dove into the river trying to stay below the surface as long as possible.

David ran up to the river's edge after phasing to his human form and jumped into the river. He said to Katie "Do you need some help getting out of the river, girl?"

Katie swam to the surface gasped for air and looked around franticly but she didnt see the beast anymore though she was still shaking. "I was being chased by a monster". She choked out and looked at David.

David looked puzzled and asked quizzically "Monster? What monster? Are you okay because I didn't see anything except you? Are you hallucinating, girl? So, do you need some help getting out of the river?"

She blinked. "umm yes I would like a little help please." She put her arms around him to hang on.

David nodded his head and said "Hang on and don't let go of me until we reached the shore." He started swimming to the shore and asked "So, may I have the pleasure in knowing your name, girl?"

She clung tight to him until they were on dry land the she let go and leaned back against a rock. "My name is Katie".

David smiled and said flirtatiously "Katie's a really pretty name just like the person who it belongs to."

She blushed and gave alittle smile. "Thanks, whats your name"?

David cleared his throat and said politely "My name's David. Nice to meet you, Katie."
