Seth looked dissapointed in Fletcher. Being that Harmon was his brother, he should've known he wouldn't let this go. But he had shown shame in his voice, eyes, and actions. Couldn't he see that he was sorry? "I didn't have a choice, Fletcher." Seth said, his eyes growing harder, the tears dissapearing. The fact that his own brother wouldn't even forgive him for a forced action was starting to get Seth a bit agitated. "I thought my own family had the right to know I was gonna go to jail." He then hugged Harmon back, trying to comfort him. As soon as their hug ended, he got up and walked to the front of the attic, where the door was. "If you're so determined to let me rot in jail for something I had no say in, so be it." He stared Fletcher down with a hard, but also dissapointed look. He then turned away and opened the attic, ready to jump out and give himself up.

Seth carried out the deed. He jumped out of the attic, showing himself to the cops. He smirked in front of them, then ran out the back door, knowing they'd follow. Before he ran out he stopped beside Maya. "I'm sorry I put you through this... Please forgive me..." he said, then ran out like a bullet.

Seth called back to Maya. "Thanks sis!" He kept running. But soon he came across a cop car that was blocking the exit. He went the other way, but noticed the two cops got up from their falls and slides. He cursed under his breath as the cops cornered him against the wall. One stayed to block him from leaving, the other put his arm around Seth's neck. He picked him up by the chest and was taking him to the cop car. "Let go! Let me go! It wasn't my fault!" Seth said. "You happy Fletcher?!" He screamed so that his brother could hear. "I'm getting what I deserve now! Everyone else is gonna be safe!" he yelled.

Maya wasn't able to stand hearing her brother yell that, or stand around knowing he had been caught. She ran out, but was beaten by her Dad, who somehow made it to the door before her, waking from his alchohol induced slumber surprisingly early.

He walked slowly up to the cops, who mainly froze. "I see you have my son," he growled gruffly. "I would like for him to stay here. Jail will do him no good." He said 'jail' rather mockingly, as if he was purposely trying to get the cops mad.

Seth suddenly tensed, almost froze at his father's appearence. "Get away from me!" he yelled. "I'd rather go to prison than stay home with you!" He suddenly tensed even more, wondering why Fletcher hadn't come out yet. I guess he really does hate me... he thought.

"I was trying to help," he shot back at him, along with a bloodshot glare.

Secretly, Maya agreed with Seth, although she didn't have the courage to say it.

Seth rolled his eyes. "No one needs your help, Dad."

Silently, he walked inside, leaving Seth, Maya, and the cops outside.

Maya threw a glance at her brother. If it had been her, she would have accepted help, then run away as soon as the police left. It would be the smart way to do it. But obviously, her stubborn brother had other plans.

The policeman holding Seth by the neck almost threw him into the car. They turned towards the siblings' father. "Since you're his father, are there any suggestions you might want to give as an alternative to prison?" he asked. Seth, knowing his father was a scientist and abusive, could almost predict that his father would say something that was worse than prison. "No!" he yelled from inside the car, but no one could hear.
