I pushed open the door and hesitated, While I'd seemed confident I was still kinda scared.

I nudged Alex gently. "Go on," I encouraged.

With a deep breath I opened the doors, Seeing the front desk I walked up, still uncertain. "Er, Hello..." I staretd awkwardly.

The lady at the receptionist counter looked up, appearing startled. "How may I help you?" she asked, stumbling slightly over the words.

I frowned. She sounded nervous just talking to us too.

My heart sank, what about us was freaking people out? "Um, we're looking for our dad..."

"N-names?" she asked, turning a bit pale.

My frown deepened into a scowl, and I leaned forward, placing my hands on the smooth surface of the counter. "I think you know who we are. Otherwise you wouldn't be acting so nervous."

She paled further, eyes darting around like looking for an escape route.

"See?" I exclaimed, referring to her darting eyes and pale skin. "We're not criminals, or anything! What about us is making people afraid?!"

I placed a hand on my sisters arm "calm down" I whispered, Since when had I been the calm one? "Maya and Alex. I'm guessing you don;t need second names by your manner"

The receptionist nodded, looking like she was hyperventilating. "I'll be right back," she murmured, hurrying through the small door behind her. My newly sensitive ears caught the click of a lock sliding into place, and I sighed. "I doubt she's coming back out," I muttered.

"Me too" I sighed "Right, I'm getting a coffee"

"Where are we gonna find some? I doubt anyone here is going to help us." I sighed again, heavier this time.

I pointed to a machine "Something quite but not entirely unlike Coffee. It'll hae to do" I said. I Slipped to the floor and looked under the machine and grinned scooping up several fdropped pond coins she looked at the machine "You want anything May?"

I shrugged. Why not? Sugar would probably do me some good; I was feeling a bit dizzy, and head-achey from stress. "Diet Coke?" I asked hopefully, peering into the thick glass of the machine.

I pressed the buttons and passed a diet coke to my sister, taking a sip of my own coffee "Ooh, warm"

The Diet Coke immediatly helped with my dizziness, and I leaned against a wall, taking a long sip. "That's better," I said, swallowing.
