Zorra grinned, "Your step-sister... is a very gifted fox, Kio. She helped me when I needed helping." She slipped down off the sill, walking to him, her paws leaving light impressions in the dust.

"Is that so?" Kio answered, folding his arms, pretending to look around the corners of the house for her. "Where did she go, anyway?" he asked, trying to get her to confess and confirm his suspicions.

Kio caught the sword handle with one hand, running his fingers over the engravings with the other. His breath was taken away by the craftsmanship itself, let alone that this work of art was now his. "Wow..." was all he could manage to say. His fingers danced along the golden guard, all the way up to the perfectly-polished and smooth point of the weapon.

"I-I don't know what to say!" he stammered as he stumbled for words. "This is amazing, and to receive it from THE Zorra..." he smiled so big, it looked like he cracked his face in half. "Thank you!" he said, bowing.

Kio stopped admiring his sword for a minute, cocking his head and looking at her with a strange glance. "How would you know if I got taller over the year?"

Kio chuckled. "My name's only three letters!" he said, smiling. "And don't worry, it's right." he added. He ran his fingers over the inscription once more, admiringly. Then, he widened his eyes, remembering something. "Gosh, how rude of me!" he said. Kio motioned towards the door. "Do you want to come in?" he asked. Stupid! he thought, mentally kicking himself. She is Zorra, after all. She's probably busy, fighting crime or whatever.

He smiled with those wide eyes back at her, as she seemed to be lost in her battle of thoughts. "Are you alright?" Kio asked with concern in his voice.

Kio clutched his sword and told Zorra, "I'll be right back, I had a mount for a sword on my room's wall, but now I could finally use it!" he left the room quickly, stepping into his. He always had two nails sticking out of his wall, which he always thought would be a perfect place to mount a sword if he ever had one, and it was easy to reach, just in case something were to happen. Kio placed the sword carefully resting on the two nails, letting it lean against the wall for balance. he stepped back to admire it for a second more, and then got an idea.

Kio took his sword down from the place he had just placed it, then drew it again from the sheath, hearing the 'shing' noise. "How about a duel, Zorra?" he challenged, feeling the edge of his blade. "Might as well try it out, and what better opponent than you, m'lady?"
