Rue sat down haughtily. "THanks, she muttered. "Now, what about Vetch and Nook? Can you place them gently on the ground?" she asked, her voice slightly mocking.

"Don't get smart with us." warned the trees while placing Vetch and Nook down.

"You caould say I've had a bad day," she said. "It's not surprising I am 'being smart' after all of that," she said. It was strange talking to trees, but atleast they weren't carnivorous

"Now," the trees continued. "You are permitted to take refuge in our forest, and we will protect you. We have given shelter to many escaped captives, so this will be a sinch. Just rest up to prepare for your journey."

"No problem." replied the trees as they wrapped their branches and formed them into something like walls, protecting the three.

As Nook looked around, he was saying kindof quietly, "This...is...so...COOL!"

Vetch laid down in a crescent shape and rested his head on his paws, his fangs puncturing the sand below.

Nook curled up in the curve of Vetch's stomach area, and he tucked his head under his paws, and a muffled snoring could be heard from him.

Rue sighed and layed down next to him, her back pressed against Vetch's. His warmth seeped into her fur, making her more tired.

The trees tightened their circle of branches to make it more compact and secure.

Vetch felt the velvety fur of Rue intertwine with his own course fur. He flicked one eye open, smiled, then drifted after a dream.

Ooc:// Ok, next day. You can make them be somewhere else if you want, or whatever.

Rue cracked one eye open sleepily and gave a yawn. She sat up, looking around for a moment, confused. She blinked and then she remembered. She yawned again, and nudged Vetch. "Wake up," she said softly, then nudged Nook.

Vetch gave a muffled "Hm?" and opened his eyes, blinking a lot then yawning, strecthing his front legs.

Nook unwrapped himself, then licked his chops and said, "What's going on?"

Rue yawned in response, her sharp fangs showing clearly, her pink tongue curling inside her mouth. She relaxed, closing her mouth. "It' morning," she said unnecassarily.

"Really?" Vetch said sardonically. He stood up, spilling Nook onto the ground, just like usual.

Rue nodded. "Really," she answered in the same tone. "And we need to get home somehow," she said. "I really hate this place," she said.
