Jenna got up and walked over to Tina, the two looked each other over, their motions identical, which was pretty comical.
Lena looked to Kai. "She mean Cachen get sick cause of blood, I guess red stuff on rabbit."
Kodi walked over to the den and stuck his head in and whispered what Tina had said about Cachen in his mate's ear.
Cachen gagged again. "Momma, I think I gonna throw up." he whined, trying not to but he felt like he would.

Katie blinked, listening to what Kodi had to say. She looked down, gasping as Cachen said he was about to throw up. "Okay, baby, hold on." she said, taking the little one gently by the scruff. She hurried out and to privacy where her son could be sick. Katie even pushed by her mate. "There, baby, if you need to be sick, be sick."
Kai blinked, walking over to the rabbit and sniffing it. It smelled wonderful to him. He bit deep into the red meat. Tearing back, he chewed slightly and then swallowed. He liked his muzzle. "It's good!" he said happily, looking at Lena.
Balto couldn't help but laugh at his mate and Tina.

Tina and Jenna looked at Balto then back to each other and laughed. "I guess we did look really silly, huh?"
Jenna nodded. "I guess we did."
Tina went over to Kai. "It's good to you but to Cachen...well have you ever had a REALLY scary nightmare you couldn't seem to wake up from or smell something really nasty that made you sick?"
Cachen nodded and threw up in a bush.
"How could he be Hemophobic? He's never seen blood before now." said Kodi, confused.

Katie winced lightly, tears falling down her face. She gently rubbed Cachen's back.
Kai blinked, tilting his head. He truly could not understand...but felt his brother's pain.
Balto smiled, sitting by his mate. "You both really did look odd." he said, joking.

Cachen finished throwing up and cuddled close to his mother, still feeling sick.
"From now on, Cachen's food needs to have the blood drained off it, the others can eat it with blood on it but he can't." said Kodi. "Poor kid..."
Tina sighed. "Well right now Cachen feels really sick and really scared, he'll get like that whenever he sees blood, understand?"
Jenna nodded. "...But still, poor Cachen..." she said, pinning her ears. "He'll never be able to hunt like this...and he's like a wolf..."

Katie laid down slowly, cuddling with her pup. "My poor Cachane..." she murmured, closing her eyes slowly.
Tai whimpered. "Poor Cachen..." she murmured.
Kai nodded, whimpering softly.
Balto nodded, nuzzling his mate softly. "I know...poor little guy."

Kodi cuddled close as well. "Don't worry little pup, we'll take care of you." he said, nuzzling the poor puppy.
"Thanks papa." said Cachen, starting to feel better. "What wrong with me?"
Lena whimpered. "I feel sorry for Cachen..."
"Don't worry, he'll be better soon, but we can't let him see blood, you'd better eat and wash off your faces before he gets back." said Tina.
"Still, Tina knows how to take care of scared pups..." said Jenna, not mentioning that's another thing they had in common, she'd helpped her pups when they were scared no diffrent than Tina was.

Katie gently touched noses with her mate, before looking at Cachen. "It's...hard to explain, my little one." she said.
Kai nodded, sitting down in the snow, any trace of a smile gone from his face.
Balto nodded, still suspicious of Tina. His voice dropped to a soft hush. "There's something odd going on...not only does she look and act like you-but she smells like our family."

"But we'll do it the best we can, alright?" asked Kodi, trying to reassure the pup.
Cachen nodded. "Alright..."
"Little ones, Miss Tina is right, please eat now before Cachen gets back." said Jenna. She looked to Balto. "I know...but she's still kind and friendly...she might even be family some how, who knows?"
Lena went over to the rabbit and began eating, it was strange, finally eating real food.

Katie whined softly, her own head feeling heavy.
Tai nodded, slinking over and at least beginning to gnaw at the meat.
Kai smiled lightly and began to eat again. He loved it.
Balto nodded, closing his eyes. "Yes," he whispered "but that's the point! None of our pups are old enough to have a child that old. And she smells like both of us!"

"Cachen, that red stuff you saw, its blood." said Kodi. "Every animal, us included, has blood in us, it...Katie, please explain blood better...you're more spiritual than me..."
"Let's not talk litterally behind her back, lets wait till we're alone." Jenna whispered.
Tina walked back over to Jenna and Balto. "They're really cute, you must all be proud..."

"Blood," said Katie softly, glancing at her mate. "Is a life giving thing. If no one had blood, there'd be no life. But, it likes to stay inside our bodies..." she murmured softly, licking Cachen's face gently. "However, when you get cut, blood tries to get out and you end up bleeding. And you don't like seeing blood, do you sweetie?"
Balto chuckled a little at the realization. He turned to Tina, nodding. "Very proud."

Cachen gave a soft whine and shook his head. "No! It makes sick and scared...I don't know why..."
"That's because you've got a phobia." said Kodi, saying the word slowly so the pup could understand. "A phobia is a really bad fear of something, yours is called Hemophobia, which just means you've got a terrible fear of blood." he said. "Its no one's fault, its just something in your mind you can't control."
Cachen nodded, not understanding the word but getting what it meant. "What we do about it?"
"I haven't seen pups in a long time...not since my mom gave us to owners...I ended up with a real sadistic one...I got away and I'm glad to be away from him." said Tina, pinning her ears at the thought.

Katie couldn't help but laugh at her son's naivity. She craned her neck over her pup. "We can't do anything about it, little one...we can drain the blood from your food, and make sure to nopt get hurt. But, we can't get rid of it."
Balto nodded, feeling Tina's pain. "Be glad it's over now, and you're safe."

Cachen nodded. "I understand." he said. "But I no like be sick and scared, it no fun." he said with a whine. "So I be careful."
Tina nodded. "I know...do you see this tag on my ear...could you tear it out of me?" she asked. "If I ever get back home, then my owners could use it to track me down...and I don't want that."
