...About Phineas & Ferb : the only reason this show is getting decent ratings is because Disney is pushing it like they've never done in the last decade for TV animation AND because it's the only decent show airing on all Disney channels. But the show itself is VERY repetitive and not that good - just OK. Even Emperor's New Groove was much better.
I would of course love if they would push forward a revival of the Disney Afternoon (and I mean doing more than just putting them on hours when everyone is sleeping...like making new episodes and promoting them a bit like they do with Phineas), but in fact I'm just asking them to make new *quality* shows. Which means : good story that can appeal to the WHOLE family (not teenagers / high school settings please!!!), good characters style, orchestral soundtrack, good animation.
Actually, I quite like
Phineas and Ferb. The animation may not necessarily be up to par with everything else they've done, but if you look at the writing for the show, as well as the jokes it makes, the depth they put into actual character development, and the messages they send to their audience, it's very well put together. In fact, I'd say in personal opinion that it's definitely one of my favorite new animated series. And I wouldn't say that the only reason it gets good ratings is the advertisement either - I only saw one add for it before I really started watching it, and from what I've been able to discern (since we don't have cable in the dorm and Disney is one of the few channels we get) they only really started promoting it heavily after it started getting popular. My dad will even watch
Phineas and Ferb, though he won't tolerate many other things that are animated, unless the writing/story is really good (or if it's
Ed, Edd, and Eddy... >.<) so I'd definitely say it does have qualities that all ages can enjoy, not just young children or young adults like myself.

Seriously, what ever happened to a kids block on fox? I grew up with Fox kids which introduced me to Tiny Toons, Batman, Animaniacs, Spiderman, Bobby's World, Tick, etc. Now the only thing they show is Family Guy and American Dad.
Why don't they get a kids block and show great shows on that? :/
They still have a Fox Kids on Saturday mornings until about 11 A.M. They don't play anything good anymore though.
