"Yes!" Aniu yelped, remembering the ice cave Balto had told her about. "I know all about that! Balto said he had a strange feeling while he was there, but I didn't give it any thought. But," She said with a frown, "I don't know exactly where it is. We'll have to find it ourselves.
Koka grinned. "I remember talking to Esmeralda, before she died," She said, "And she once mentioned something about a 'secret hideout'. Do you think that might be it?" She sighed. "But, she never told me where it was."
"Oh," Balto said. "Well the good news is, this little thing will give me more time to think about the pack." He turned to Covan. "Thanks anyway. And also, did you, by any chance, know a wolf named Esmeralda?"

Covan thought for a minute."Umm,I've heard wolves talking about her.It seems that she's a friend of the pack or something else...I'm not sure."he smiled to Balto and Marro.

"Oh," Balto said. "I kinda didn't realize that you were... well, the 'loner'. So, uhh, what if I were to join the pack? Would you think anything of it?" He gave a sheepish grin. "Sorry for all the questions... I just need to learn how to be a wolf if I'm going to join my mother, and you seem to have some spare time on your paws."

"WAIT!!!" DG cried. "Lemmie get Marro for you!" DG howled and Marro came running. She explained the situation in rapid Romanian.
Marro nodded and looked painstakingly at the rest of her cousin's pack. "Esmeralda and Aniu were best friends. My mom was the Wolf Goddess of Witchcraft and Wicca, and I inheretided that from her. Mom was-- Mom- Esmeralda DID have a secret hiding place, but Aniu knows where it is because, well," she started, but stopped. "Let me tell you the story...
Esmeralda, my mother, came here on a fur exchange when she was younger. Her Magic helped her escape slaughter and she joined up with Aunt Aniu in an attempt to escape. I'm not sure if they were sisters, but they found eachother like magnets. My mom stayed here for some time and learned to travel back and forth between Bermuda, New York City, and here. Aunt Aniu helped her and they were best friends. The Mom found my dad and they fell in love, so Esmeralda went back to Bermuda and had me. I grew up in New York, going back and forth between Tropical Island Noell and NYC. Aunt Aniu came to visit alot, but when my parents died, I was left to be raised by my Grand-mere Reluse. Mom did say she had a secret hiding place around an ice cave in the mountians, but her main one was on Bermuda."

Roso took the trail thinking. He followed and sniffed absently, even though the trail of his fathers journey was long gone. He stopped on a narrow valley pas and grinned when he saw a small Cave in the hill wall. He crept in and listened to the eery sound of dripping water "This place gives me the creeps" he muttered.

Aniu suddenly remembered. "YES!" She cried again. "I remember it now! Esmeralda did show me her hiding place in Bermuda, but I don't think that's the one. That was a little strange tunnel that went under this pond. I still don't understand it. But she said her ice-cave hideout was up in the mountains between Anchorage and Nome, and she said she'd show me sometime. But she never got the chance..." Aniu paused. "She told me, a few days before she, died that it was super hard to find. She also said, since I am, of was at least, her sister, that I could be able to find it!" Suddenly she had an idea. "Balto might remember the trail with the ice cave!" She howled for Balto.
Balto heard Aniu's howl. "Sorry, Covan, gotta run!" He said and dashed off. "What is it, Mom?" He asked, when he finally arrived, panting. Aniu quickly told him the story about the ice cave and the Serum Run trail. "Yeah, I remember it!" He exclaimed. "Want me to show you guys the way?"
"Yes," Aniu said, "And maybe, If the others agree with it, you could stay with us and help us figure this whole thing out." She turned to the others. "Whaddaya think, guys?"
"Yeah, whatever workes for you!" Koka said with a smile.

Covan looked as Balto ran off and layed down in Boiler Room."Of course,I'm unneeded,as always..."he layed down and a small tear rolled down his face.He loved Aniu very much,but he couldn't help being loner of the pack.

Roso lifted a paw and sniffed "This Cant be the right place" he muttered as he walked through,It still gave him the creeps. He came out and sat by the mouth of the cave. he looked up and don the valley "Why can't I find it?" he muttered. ((No muse))
