If they were adopted they would have said so in the movie. They wouldn't make them adopted and then not have anythng in the movie to tell us that. They both call her mother, so she is their biological mother.

Im sorry to say but your wrong. I have not once heard through out the movie Kovu call Zira her mother. I've heard Vitani call her mother but not Kovu.

^ Could've sworn Kovu pleaded forgiveness when he stuttered something
like 'I-I'm sorry, mother' when she was scolding him for being in the Pridelands.

Yet didn't Nuka mutter something about 'Scar taking him in'?
If Zira and Scar were really in a relationship, then they could
take Kovu in and consider him their son.

Doesn't mean he wasn't Zira's son. Just meant he wasn't Scar's

^ My opinion was never Kova not being Zira's. I'm just pointing out to those who don't consider it that adoption is always an option.
