Troy narrowed his eyes in curiosity. "I have no idea... Trying not to draw attention to all of us maybe?" But what if she was trying to leave? He ran a hand through his hair. He had an urge to call out to her, even though he knew better. Don't draw attention to yourselves, he thought. Surely that's what Luna was thinking.

Harper cocked his head. He didn't know her. He didn't even know her name. But he didn't thinks he was trying to ditch them. It didn't make much sense. She could have left them at any point but she didn't. She stayed, which may have been more dangerous for her.

Angie looked after her and shook her head. "If we keep staring at her, it'll just draw attention," she said softly, touching Troy on the shoulder lightly. He looked at her, jolted out of it. She looked at Garrett. "I think that's a great plan," she said normally, as if nothing odd had just happened. "Lead the way?"

"Of course," Garret nodded at Angie, only sparing a short glance at Luna. If she was leaving them like she had been threatening to for...well, years, then this was her chance and she could go. Right now, Garret had to take care of the rest of the members of his pack. "Alright, stay close, but don't cluster into a group that will bring attention to us." Garret headed into the crowd, quickly finding a sidewalk that seemed to lead into the center of town. There would be better change of finding a store or restaurante there.

Cassie stumbled a bit as she walked into all the people. Her body was tired from fighting off the infection of the silver, but even though the plant had saved her life, the bullet had left her exhausted.




Luna continued down a sidewalk, turning at different places and walking down random streets. She didn't know what she was looking for, but this would be the only opportunity to break away from the pack she never wanted to have. But as she continued further into town, she realized she was scanning the crowd for their familiar faces. She finally stopped in the middle of a crowd, causing lots of cursing from people who crashed into her. With a snarl that wasn't quite human but that went unnoticed by the busy people, Luna headed in the oppostite direction, sniffing out the others.

Sarah nodded towards a cafe across the street. "Garret?" she pointed at it then began to cross the street, hoping they'd follow her. She could barely keep herself from bouncing. She was so excited that she thought her heart was going to pound out of her chest. However, as she looked around at her friends, all she could think was that Luna should be there with them.

Angie backtracked so she was walking next to Cassie. She knew she was supposed to be keeping her distance but Cassie may need her. If that happened and Cassie needed help, she wanted to be there, no matter what. She looked at Sarah crossing the street and looked at Cassie. "You can sit soon," she said quietly.

Harper stuffed his hands in his pockets as he walked. So far the only names he knew were Garret and Cassie. Hopefully he'd know the others soon. He looked at one of the girls crossing the street and followed.

Troy looked up at Sarah as she crossed and shook his head. Trust Sarah to walk off right when she found a place. He slowly started after her, glancing around to make sure they hadn't lost anyone else. He was also keeping an eye out for Luna. He hoped she'd return. It wouldn't be the same without her.

Garret only give a slight nod of his head to Sarah, trying not to make it top obvious that they were interacting. He casually turned around as quickly as he could and followed her across the street just behind Harper. He glanced over his shoulder at Cassie, feeling reassured as Angie slowed up to stay near her.

Cassie gave Angie a fleeting smile. She didn't want to seem like the weak one in the group, but she was really relieved to see Sarah and the others heading into a cafe with seats.

Luna turned a corner, following the scent trail the others had left behind. A little ways away, she saw Sarah cross the street into the cafe. Luna slowed her brisk walk, having a sure destination now and not so worried that she would loose them.

Sarah slipped inside the cafe and looked around. It was busy. Perfect. No one would over hear them with it being this loud. She found a large table in the back and grinned to herself. Bingo. She slipped into the corner seat, waiting for the others.

Harper went into the cafe and followed Sarah to the table. He nodded to her and sat across from her. Harper folded his hands on the table, fiddling with his thumbs.

Troy immediately recognized Luna's scent and turns his head. There she was. He smiled. She came back. He dipped his head to her and followed Sarah inside the cafe. He sat a few seats down from the other two and ran a hand through his hair, exhaling slowly. Sitting felt a lot better than he was expecting. His muscles were still tense but he was relaxing a little bit more.

Angie walked beside Cassie and sighed softly. She looked at Luna and gave her a small smile. It was good to see her again. She walked inside with Cassie and nodded her head to the table, smiling. "Wow. I've never been happier to see a table..."

"I know what you mean," Cassie said to Angie, walking through the busy cafe and towards the back where Sarah had gotten them a big table. Cassie took a seat next to Harper and nearly fell into her chair. She sighed relief as the weight of her body was lifted from her feet.

Garret followed Sarah and Harper to the table, sitting next to Sarah at the table. Luna joined them a few moments later, looking annoyed and crossing her arms, but she didn't say a word as she sat across from Troy.

"Well, know that we're all here, I think we need to decide what we do next," Garret suggested.

Sarah nodded. "First..." She looked at Harper. "what's your name?" She was tired of traveling with someone she didn't know.

Harper looked at her, taken aback. "Harper," he replied after a minute. Sarah nodded then introduced everyone at the table. She then turned to Garret again. Harper hesitated then asked, "Do you think he's going to keep tracking you, or will he give up after a while?"

"Knowing Zac, that's actually a difficult question to answer," Troy said slowly. "He could go either way but I think he'll spend a while looking for us. We hurt his pride pretty bad. Didn't make him look too great either." He looked at Garret. "I think we should keep moving from town to town. Get as much room from him as we can."

Garret nodded at Troy, silently agreeing with his point. "And hoepfully we'll be able to find a more permanent residence in another town," he added, knowing that the seven wolves couldn't just wander around for ever. With a glance towards Cassie's weary form, he also said, "Perhaps we should stay the rest of the day and tonight here so we can all rest up for the journey."

"That sounds good to me," Cassie said with a weak smile.

Bic:// Sarah nodded, feeling relieved. She knew Cassie needed the rest and quite frankly, she needed the rest herself. She felt like she had been awake for a year. "Sounds great. Are we gonna stay in an alley or try to find a way to get in a hotel?"

Troy sighed. "As great as a hotel sounds, we don't have any money. We can change into our wolf forms and keep warm together." He looked forward to finding a permanent residence. They could get jobs and find a way for them to begin to live safe, comfortable lives.

Angie sighed softly. "Well, maybe we'll find a place soon." She knew, though, that that was going to be a lot harder that it sounded. They had to make sure Zac wouldn't follow them there. But she still had hope that it would happen soon. The sooner, the better.

"I'm not sure staying in the woods somewhere is the best idea," Garret said, thinking hard about the situation. "That will be the first place Zac looks. Besides, while we still know he's near, we should stay in our human forms so he can't recognize us even if he does happen to see us."

"Then where exactly do you suggest we stay, then?" Luna asked, propping her arm on the table and leaning her head against her hand in a questioning manor as she raised an eyebrow at Garret. She then turned her direction to Troy as well since those two seemed to be the unannounced leaders of the group.

Cassie turned only her eyes as she glanced back and forth between everyone talking, feeling a heavy sleepiness settling into her body. She felt herself swaying just the slightest bit in her seat that no one deep in the conversation would even notice.

Troy sighed softly. "That's a good point. We can't just stay in wolf form and we definitely can't go to the woods..." He ran his hand through his hair, struggling with finding an idea that was possible. They had to find something soon. The longer they waited here, the more dangerous it was going to get.

"Maybe we could sneak into a hotel?" Angie suggested. "Break in or something? Could we manage that?" She shifted nervously. Sitting here not knowing what the next move was going to be was driving her insane. She wanted to know what she could do to help and this wasn't helping her feel like she even knew what was happening, much less what she could do.

Harper looked at Angie a moment. "If we could do it, that could definitely work..." He glanced around hopefully. "no one knows anyone in this town that would let us stay, do they?" He knew it was something that was barely even a shot in the dark but if it was possible it was the best bet.

"We've been locked up by Zac for years. Do you really think we have any connections to the outside world?" Luna asked heatedly, her tired nerves getting the better of her. The day was definately taking its toll on all of them, and they were all tired and needed a place to stay. "But I'm sure that breaking into a hotel room can't be that hard."

"Maybe not, but it won't be easy either," Griffin said, already thinking up a plan. "We can't break through a window or anything, but maybe we can steal a key? They're probably stored in some back area for employees only. Shoudn't be too difficult to sneak back there and grab one. But just one. We're all going to have to squeeze into one room. Taking more than that would be too risky and we'll get caught if too many keys go missing. One might go unnoticed, but I doubt more than that can be ignored by the staff."

Harper sighed and nodded. "You're right, Luna. Sorry. It was a dumb question." He looked at Griffin, eyes bright. "That almost sounds fun!" He smiled around at everyone. "We could figure out a way to make it work. We should fit just fine." It was going to be tight but hey, it could be worse. A lot worse. They all knew that from experience.

Sarah nodded. "At least it'll be more comfortable than what we're used to." She smiled, relieved to know that they'd be relaxing for the night soon. "I have got to get some rest. I'm exhausted." For some reason, she was suddenly feeling like she could fall asleep right there. The adventure and excitement was wearing on her. She looked at Luna. Unfortunately, she was right. None of them could go to anyone for help. All they had was each other.

Angie looked at Cassie. She definitely needed to rest up. Even if they had saved her, she had to be exhausted from it. It was a close call and it had to be bothering her still. "When can we get that room?" she asked, hoping it would be sooner rather than later. She looked around at everyone. It wasn't just Cassie, it was obvious that they were all tired and needed rest.
