'Sorry, but are you going to let them take me, I want to stay with you' Aurora mumbled to Glaedr, realising she had upset him. She started to head outside, leaving Glaedr alone to carry to flower. She followed the aqua blue glow of Sethla ahead of her, and began to think of what he had said about her pledge. If I can find a wormhole, then he will have to leave me alone...of course, it was staring me in the face! she thought, and ran up to Sethla. 'You say that I made a pledge to let you change me, and that is true, but I never agreed for you to keep me hostage, if you take me that is kidnapping and other dragons wouldn't be too happy about kidnapping' she said breathlessly.
Sethla listened to Aurora with a slight smile on his face. 'You are right, I suppose, and if what you say is true then it would be kidnapping, I only fear the rest of my pack wouldn't see it that way. Stay with Glaedr, and tell him that I send my regards and apologies, but my kind cannot die as you well know, you two will have to run now' he said.

Glaedr sighed, he continued to follow the blue glow until Aurora and Sethla had gone way ahead. The only thing keeping him going was Aurora, the clan, and the warm glow of the plant. 'I thought I had let a looney tag along, but I actually let a beautiful, but confused at times female tag along.' Thought Glaedr, smiling slightly.

Aurora's eyes widened, Sethla was letting her go?! 'Thank you, so much, you don't know how much this means to me' she said, and spun round to run back to Glaedr. 'Glaedr, I found a way that I don't have to go with them, but we have to run now because the rest of the pack will be after us, we have to go NOW' she yelled, stopping a second too late and bumping into Glaedr. 'Come on' she said, and began to run back out of the caverns.

(I did a render of what Sethla more or less looks like)

Glaedr followed, trying to keep up, Aurora was going faster than she had ever gone before. "E gutta dop nd et untrez n da wi." Mumbled Glaedr through the petals, what he had meant to say was 'We gotta stop and get Huntress on the way'.

'Of course' Aurora yelled back, tearing off towards where they had left Huntress. She could feel her leg muscles beginning to strain, but she had to keep going, it was her they wanted after all. If they hurt Glaedr, I will run away from him and his pack, it would be the only way she thought. A sharp chill rippled down her spine as a ghostly howl drifted over the nearby mountains. Up ahead was where they had left Huntress, and she knew Glaedr was beginnign to trail behind. Why must I make these choices she wondered.

Glaedr forced himself to go faster, he was starting to catch up. He sped up a bit when he heard the howl, he came to a halt when he got to Huntress. "Huntress, we got the flower." Glaedr said softly, hoping she was ok, even though she had pretty much treated him like dog doo.

Aurora stopped beside Glaedr in front of Huntress. 'Just be careful Glaedr, remember what is wrong with her' she muttered. Her tail was twitching at the tip, and she allowed it to curl around Glaedr's, praying that nothing would happen to him. 'I guess you just feed the petal straight to her, but be careful' she said slowly.
Huntress lay still, her breathing ragged and her eyes tight shut. At Glaedr's voice she rose her head, hissing angrily. He was standing just out of reach for her neck, and her leg muscles were already too far gone for her to stand. She lay, snapping and snarling, as Glaedr and Aurora stood before her. In her frustration she roared, and seeminly in reply and ghostly howl echoed over the hills, sounding a lot closer than the last.

Glaedr froze with fear for a few seconds but then sprung forward and pinned Huntress' neck down, just hard enough to stop her from turning her head and biting him. Then Glaedr quickly grabbed a petal and forced it into her mouth, he backed off, waiting to see what would happen. "Cmon, Huntress, please be ok, please be ok, cos the wolves are comin and they don't sound too friendly..or happy for that matter.." Muttered Glaedr.

Huntress writhed her body and neck, unable to lash out with her claws, and snapped her jaws angrily. As Glaedr stood back Huntress raised her head and bit down on the petal hard. She hissed as a warm syrupy taste flooded her mouth, but she swallowed it. Instantly her whole body rippled in a harsh convulsion, and her breathing became rapid panting. She raised her head in a scream, and then collapsed and lay very still.
Aurora turned away from Huntress, the sight was bad, but the sounds were worse. She felt tears tumble from her eyes, and through the noise she could hear another howl. As Huntress fell silent, she turned to look, and burst into tears. She didn't seem to be moving or breathing. Oh god I hope she is alright Aurora thought, Glaedr will be heartbroken if she isn't. At that thought she turned to look at Glaedr sadly, wondering what his reaction will be.

Glaedr clenched his teeth and squinted his eyes at the sound, it was horrible. Suddenly Huntress had gone silent and she wasn't moving. "No.." He muttered under his breath. "Please be ok Huntress..."

Aurora felt like she was going to cry, and she rested her head on Glaedr's shoulder, sobbing into his scales. 'I'm so sorry Glaedr, this is my fault, and now your friend is dead, I'm so so sorry' she whimpered. She took another look at the seemingly dead body of Huntress, the dragon that had tried to just abandon her, who called her crazy all the time, and who was now dead. I wouldn't wish death on anyone, no matter how much I hate them she thought.
Slowly, Huntrees's eyes fluttered open, and she let out a low groan. 'What...what happened' she muttered, peering around and lifting her head. 'Glaedr, did you get the flower? What happened to me' she asked slowly, testing her mouth, it felt sore and stiff. As she looked at Glaedr again, she saw Aurora with her head on his shoulder, and she felt her jaw clench in anger. In the short time I am not with him, he goes and...and...why she thought, her anger rising and mixing with her sadness. With a growl she stood up, feeling her legs wobble badly, and she turned her back to Glaedr, picking up the flower. 'We need to get back to the pack' she said curtly, trying desperatly not to burst into tears there and then.

Glaedr was delighted that she was ok, but he frowned when he saw that something was troubling her. Glaedr sighed and followed Huntress, not saying a word, not wanting to open his big mouth and make everything worse. Glaedr just could not see what was troubling Huntress, he thought long and hard, but no suggestions came to his mind. Glaedr stayed next to Aurora but behind Huntress, since she was the dominant one and see looked as though she didn't want to be disturbed. He sighed one more, thinking taht he had done something terribly wrong, but what? All Glaedr did was get the flower and cure her, he had practically saved her life, but all he had gotten in return was a sad glare.

Huntress began to walk, keeping her pace just that little bit faster than Glaedr and Aurora's. All the while her mind was whirring, and stray thoughts and emotions kept coming to the front of her mind. How could he, and with a nut and all, why? she thought, sadly and angrily. Her feelings were all jumbled, but she kept her face blank. She could hear both Glaedr and Aurora behind her, and with every footstep she felt like her heart was breaking just that little bit more. She knew that there was no point trying to talk to him about it, he had made his mind up, and if she even looked at him she felt like she would cry. I always knew there was no point getting close to someone, all they will do it hurt you she thought.
Aurora walked slowly next to Glaedr. Huntress had seemed cross, and sad, but why. She sighed, other dragons' emotions were hard to read, especially Huntress'. 'What do you think is wrong with her, or is she always like this?' Aurora whispered to Glaedr. She hoped that she wasn't the problem, that would really hurt. A distant howl once again met her ears, sending a shudder down her spine, but it sounded further away now. Maybe thy have given up she hoped.

"I dunno, I'm not a mind reader or anything...but I think she's sad about something." Replied Glaedr in a whisper. "Why do I always point out the obvious?" Muttered Glaedr to himself.

Aurora looked back at Huntress, wondering what could be the problem. She seemed sad when she saw me, maybe it is me that's the problem, but what have I done... she wondered, dropping her gaze to her feet. 'Glaedr, I think the wolves have given up-' she started, but just as she was finishing a loud howl sounded right nearby, and almost instantly three large wolves jumped out from the bushes. One was glowing a soft gold, one a deep blue, deeper than Sethla's, and one was a fiery red. He seemed to be the leader.
Huntress stopped abruptly at the sound of a wolf howl, dragons had a good reason to fear wolves, they were agile predators and could easily take down a single dragon as a pack. As the wolves jumped out, Huntress saw they were not normal wolves, they were all black with glowing outlines. 'What the heck is going on' she cried, growling at the wolves slightly.
