"Who is this dog?" Marro asked, her blue eyes locked hard on Steele. "If he's mean to you, I'll kill him!" she aneered, ready for anything life could throw at her.

"Well, I'll do it if I have to," Marro said sourly. "I don't like it when people are teasing others. You know?"

Marro looked at Steele with sheer entusiam. "Oh, all the time! I love to sled in Central Park on a hill and its soooooooooooooooo steep! You go so fast, but you don't reach the bottom so quickly. It's pretty high! One, my Grandme took me and we went together. My parents joined us and we sipped hot coca on the slopes. Ah, it was so much fun. And in Bermuda, we sometimes would sled on the dunes--- ah, I miss Grandme and Mom and Dad," Marro sighed in her deep voice.

"Why do you say that?" Marro giggled. "Oh, well, I hope I can join the team. The Idarod is the big one. You are REALLY fast..... What's the Golden Collar Bingo, if that's his name, said he was going to get?"
