What do you mean i wait till now im pretty sure i posted that in my first message on here.. and it is dumb rule sorry to say it may not be to you.. but it is to me and its not my fault you can't enjoy the fourms just because my name is long you know.. and like i said i can't change it so quit complaining ...geez you were alot nicer when i had my old name your just rude.. calling me arogant and using the rolling eyes icon and so what if im stubborn it runs in my family i can't just give it to people and be all "Okay i'll change my name" Please im not weak you know i fight for what i think is right and i liked you alot better when i first met you.

@Claire:I'm just gonna end this argument right now by reporting ya to the mods and Steet so this will come to and end now. They can help change your username so it's at an appropriate length.

What?? It's entirly your fault Claire. No one else has the lack of sense to even consider having such a long name! (no offense.)


Its easier to be nice to people who

a.) have respect for others and their right to enjoy the forums without having it get stretched out all the time
b.) have a normal-length username that doesn't ruin our screens
c.) try to solve the problem, not give us crap about how they're 'a fighter' and how they think 'it's right' to have an obnoxiously long username. Cause its obviously not.

Look, we are not trying to be crule here, CCTKOTK(see? even the abbreviation is long!). We just don't think it's fair to any of us to have certain people mesing up the forums with long usernames. Besides, this whole topic was NOT directed at you. You just argued with JersyCaptian for so long that now it has become an issue to everyone. Just FOLLOW THE RULES or listen to common sense: Is it really a good idea to have a 40 character-long username?

And why not? Look, by many people I'm considered stubborn, as is some members of my family, but stubborn or not, you should have the sense to end an argument when there are several, very valid points against your invalid argument. The 20 character limit is a rule now, and if you continually ignore the rules, what happens? You end up banned, and that looks like the direction you're heading in if you don't change you're name.



PM Steet and he will change it for you. Like everything else you've said, that argument is invalid.

I don't care how stubborn you are, you've lost this argument. You're likely to be banned and your name will be changed either way.

I don't want steet to change it for me because i want to change it myself i know most of you people mean no offence to me and i know my name is long okay... geez and i couldn't think of a shorter fourm at the time and i didn't even know about the rule till about a week after i changed it..

Steet will re-set it, meaning you will be able to change it - Like he did with mine when I added "_FR" to my name, when that was susposed to be for the French side.

That is bull you were not friendly when you told me to change my name you could have pmed and we could have talked about it there and im not blaming you im just annoyed.

There are a LOT more important causes to fight for in this world, than a USERNAME on one piddly little website.

And also, being HUMBLE and MODEST is just as good a virtue as being STUBBORN. Infact people who believe in this stupid little motto of "I never back down" often end up being noobs. Just so you know, a little advice.

People, please.

Everyone has to wait 3 months between name changes and Claire has said the site won't allow her to change her name immediately because it's not been 3 months since it was last changed.

Steet can do so though (mods can't anymore due to recent security issues I'm sure everyone knows of) so it can still be sorted out.

Even though a more mature way of dealing with this would be to tell a mod, in a calm and friendly way, why you can't change your name yet and then PMed or emailed Steet and asked if he could help you change it to a shorter name to "comply" with the rule/limit on username length.

Getting all defensive about a username is not the best avenue to take. It's just a username.

It doesn't effect my internet connection, but I am aware it anoyys others.
Like Clarie said, she has to wait, and she wants to change it on her own, some people don't want help from others. Maybe she doesn't want to be rushed to pick a new user name.
