I don't want to see his 'uncut' versions because that is just wrong.. but that is not what I am saying. By cut out I mean an original frame from the movie with Steele in, and he has removed Steele from the background, not drawn it, not used it for reference.

Yes he is a good artist, yes he has used screenshots as reference in many of his pics which he has drawn but..

If you look at those links you can see where he has simply removed the images from a background taken from a screen shot. How do I know? Well the outlines of these cutouts are jagged and you can see parts of the background his has missed, it is also blocky and pixelated where he has enlarged the image which doesn't have the pixel resolution in the first place. If it was a scanned drawing and digital colouring he would have the resolution to make it what ever size smoothly. All he has done to claim it as his own 'art' is add some shading to it, a new background and 'Steele', nothing more.

I knew this would be touchy and I am not claiming all his art is this, just about 50% of it. Anyone familiar with computer art packages should be able to see this.

Yes in the past he did cut quite a few screen shots and just alter them. I remember back on Balto Central something about it came up one time. If anything they could be moved to the fan images section.

The newer pieces were drawn by him, they are very good, but some (not all) of his older stuff are just photo shopped screen grabs.

Yes but that is his very old pictures, Steet has not found it nessisary to remove them as like pample he is a long time member and he has stated he did draw screen grabs on him as he does not do it anymore I see no problem to remove his art as he does not do this any longer.

He was exposed for this many years ago in the Balto League, that was back when he was a little more active in a community. I remember he got quite angry about it but couldn't deny it.

It just seems to me that the rules are bent for one person just because he is a good artist or had art here a 'long' time. Sorry it is hypocritical.

I allways thought Klaus shaded screenshots. I mean its not that hard to pick up a penicle and draw.

yeah but I guess they want to be as good as the REAL artists on here....

I'm done with this, Steet can answer questions on this little subject; I am tired of being consider 'hypocrite'. I don't make the rules, Steet does.

Do you know how many galleries there are on the site? More than 1000...
How do you expect us to be able to check ANY single drawing in ANY gallery to be acceptable for the rules, especially when it's very difficult to know if it's a cutout from a screenshot or a real drawing?
So, if you want to report one drawing that you think shouldn't have been accepted, use the link at the bottom of the picture pages instead...

Personally I don't really care what gets accepted or not.. I just thought it was silly that just because someone is a good artist, or one of the first galleries, the rules are waved.

The rules are fine, I was just pointing out something that was common knowledge after the mods made such a fuss about recoloured screen shots. It seems like one rule for one person and another for someone else.
