Woah... can't believe Wings of Change won this. Even though WQ wasn't the greatest... I'd say the plot was better than Wings of Change.

I have to say Wolf Quest was better then Wings of Change. In WoC, all the characters had voices that were wayyyy off, to much jazz and characters singing (I'd say, WoC had a song every five minutes), Stella had NO respect for Balto, Balto has no confidident in himself and wants to fly now, and I want Stella dead, because she always tried to act "sexy" around Boris. Don't get me wrong, I do like watching WoC, since it did had a little better animation. I also liked how it went back to sled dog racing. The only reason why I like Wolf Quest better is that it's on a cool quest to find out who you really are, and that times you need to let go. I did, in fact, like the songs better because it wasn't jazzy (I only like a few Jazz songs) and there was only a few songs. Also, the movie talked about wolves and Balto's herritage more, and in WoC they never mention about Balto's past, only once when Stella was talking to Balto. Well, those are a few reasons, but I did enjoy watching both movies, only Wolf Quest a little more.

I'm gonna reply again. Okay, I know Aleu did made a fuss about being part wolf but look at us now. Our ancestors came to America for a reason; to be who they are. At the country our ancestors lived in first, they had to follow rules that they didn't like, and wanted to start off a better living. And it's okay that Aleu was mad at her heritage for awhile, not knowing where she belonged, confused on what's going around in her surroundings, and most of all confused about her heritage. She wanted to fit in like everyone else ( like our ancestors who came to the USA, they wanted to fit in, and at times different races made fun of different races). Aleu was scared to be made fun of and being judged by others, so she had to find a place where she truly belongs, in a wolf pack! Yes, she did use words toward Balto in a not-so mature way only because she was scared of things to happen to her, and Aleu didn't want others to misjudge her, wich was happening since the day she was born. So don't go off hating Aleu if you haven't walked a mile in her shoes. (not saying the ones who do like her, and I'm not trying to start off any flame wars, just pointing out something to all of you. ) (I only rambled on about this because I saw previous comments )

As much I enjoyed both sequels, my vote goes to Wolf Quest.
Aleu was a much more interesting character than Kodi, IMO. She was different and independent, although she had no idea exactly how unique she was. Her voice was the only down side, though, but her untamed spirit made me like her. Kodi, on the other hand, was too much like a normal sledding dog to me, while only showing his wild roots whenever he howled. He was too plain (mainly because he didn't have much time on-screen to show more of his personality) for my tastes (that's why I write fanfictions. ROFL)
Storywise - yes, WoC was more closely related to the original story with the whole dog-sledding subject, but the Inuit spiritualism and the whole focus on the wolf in WQ really caught my attention. And I'll agree - I like the Father/Daughter stories too.
Animation - Duh. WoC was much better animation-wise, but the backgrounds in both movies were equally good. I did like Aleu's design - it was unique and different, much unlike the normal looks of the sled-dogs in WoC. (Why couldn't they be more different like in the original Balto, eh?)
Songs - I preferred the WQ songs over the WoC ones. The themes - "Taking You Home" in WQ and "Everything Flies" in WoC, respectfully - were both well done, setting the main conflict of each film - Aleu with her search to find where she belongs and with the changing times and the plane's arrival in Nome. Jenna's ballad in WoC, "You Don't Have To Be A Hero", was beautiful and added a nice piece of flashback of Kodi and Balto together when he was young, but it did its job of inspiring him that no matters what happens in the race, he'll still be his father. Of course, Stella's wooing song to Boris was unnecessary, but it did lead up to his act and him being left on the plane . . . so, maybe it did have a purpose. As for the other WQ songs, I love them and their added sense of loving nature around us.
In other words, my vote goes to Wolf Quest. Despite the horrific animation and inconsistencies, it had an interesting story of a father and a daughter's journey into their wolf roots with a mysterious bit of magic in the air.
