It causes minimal pain, it's like spanking your kid.

It's impossible to break the skin on a dog with a prong collar.

Just shut up will you? You obviously don't have anything constructive to say! Stop spamming.

Those prong collars look pretty mean. I've never seen one before. But after reading others opinions, I don't think they sound cruel. They just look scary. :D

You can make me shut up. If you want me to shut up then you'd better do the same.

It's just when the collar is tightened, it pinches the naturally loose skin around the dog's neck. it startles the dog and gives a sharp correction, all you have to do is flick the leash and it pinches them. It's also spread all around the neck, unlike choke collars.

They look cruel and I thought they were at first, but after asking the Pet Experts they seemed not cruel at all.

There not even able to break the skin on me, and I pulled it way harder than I did on my dog. XP

Yeah, that's the best way to test. I tried that with my dad's dog's choke chain. Doesn't hurt. Plus, they have tougher skin than us don't they?

Yes they do, most dogs that use these collars are big dogs anyway. So they have thicker fur and tougher skin.

Yep, and fur there. I have a choke collar and when I used to use it on my dog, she kept pulling like it wasn't hurting her at all, but I could tell it was by the way she was breathing, that shows that it doesn't hurt them, but it didn't work XP
